  1. Hello Dave, Welcome to the forum. If you are the Dave Say mentioned in the recent Agora newsletter then I, for one, am super stoked (chuffed) to have you joining us. That pic in the newsletter of the four Routemaster models is model porn to me! I am so looking forward to this build. wyatt
  2. In the odd chance that anyone actually reads this, here is a link for a RM build that recently started, although it's from Hachette. Same kit that will be coming to us though. Translate it and you should glean some tips from this gent. https://www.der-lustige-modellbauer.com/t34800-routemaster-rm857-von-hachette-in-1-12
  3. This is a nice heads up for people that use FB, Twitter and such and it would be wonderful to have access to that wealth of skill and knowledge but they have chosen to keep it private for some reason. As I don't use FB I guess I will miss out. There are a whole bunch of folks that are about to start building this kit and many probably don't use FB. Make it Public accessible, please. wyatt
  4. Fingers crossed the first parts start shipping next month - three days away! Depending on how deep you want to get into your build I can recommend this book 'Haynes Routemaster Bus Enthusiasts' Manual' by Andrew Morgan. Bought mine at: https://www.amazon.com/Routemaster-Bus-Manual-maintaining-Enthusiasts/dp/0857338498/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=Routemaster+bus&qid=1632788321&s=books&sr=1-1 wyatt
  5. Excellent Mark B. Your CC may take a hit, but just think of that beautiful (and very large) model when you've finished it. Hopefully the first parts will be arriving next month. wyatt
  6. That is seriously looking good Mike. Kudos on the research. That's always a great bit of fun for me on these part works. Keep the pics coming. wyatt
  7. If you're wanting a preview of the instructions and some really good pictures of the completed stages have a look at this Gents website; http://www.britishmodelbuses.com/Build%20Your%20own%20Routemaster_Index.htm His build is from the Hatchette subscription and the build stops at stage 98, not sure why, but the instructions go up to 100. It will still give you an idea of what's involved. Enjoy, wyatt
  8. Greetings Good People, Just ordered the 1/12 Routemaster Bus. I've been waiting for this one a long time. Well done Agora! Thank you for this. And I finished collecting the T800 just in time to become an Agora Elite member which allowed me to get the first pack for free. just shipping. Thank you again everyone at Agora. I was a little disappointed that no email notifications where sent out announcing it going live on the website, nor for the fire truck. Oh well. So my wallet will be a bit lighter for another year. OK peeps, who else has ordered this beauty? Don't be shy. wyatt
  9. Well said Kitman. Wayne is a joy to watch even if you're not building what he's building.
  10. No worries, I guess it was a rhetorical question?
  11. You can order it directly from IXO Collections. When you do, just order more than €99.00 worth of parts and shipping is free. I'm in the States and ordered Boxes 1,2 and 3 on a Friday and received them the following Friday, yep, one week. When box 4 was available I ordered it and the display case and shipping was free. Again, ordered on a Friday, received the following Friday. You can't beat that. This method is without a subscription, so I will have to wait for at least two boxes to be available to take advantage of the free shipping. Oh, and they are having a sale on Boxes 1, 2, 3 and 4 right now. The magazine/instructions are in French but they have links on their site to instructions in English. Here's a forum you can follow about the 917KH: https://forum-auto.caradisiac.com/topic/469697-montez-la-porsche-917kh-au-18-ixocolllections/#comments Enjoy - wyatt
  12. OK, a question for you Admin. Will the Routemaster webpage be up soon? Just curious, as the title of this post says, I'm a bit antsy! Thanks. wyatt
  13. Your build is coming together nicely Mark. Looking good so far. wyatt
  14. I do hope they include the magazines. After all, these are 'Subscriptions'. A downloadable PDF is a good alternative, but I'm old school, I like to hold a magazine/book in my hands versus a Kindle or the like. wyatt

    Routemaster Bus

I've seen/heard about the exterior screwheads and have been trying to think up an alternative. Flathead screws with a press in cap with rivet detail? I'll wait to see when those parts arrive. I must say that the phillips screw manufacturer has a great future with the parts work companies. When I first heard about this kit it wasn't available on this side of the pond. But my mind went 'Knight bus', would it be possible? But the front end is quite a bit different (older model). Oh well. wyatt
  16. Thanks for the info. That should be an impressive beast. wyatt
  17. I've been hoping for a long time for the Routemaster bus to be available on this side of the pond and Agora has made it happen. I'm really chuffed about it! (to use a UK phrase) An excellent decision to offer 12 or 24 month subscriptions. 24 months is just too long. So, anybody else looking forward to this one? wyatt
  18. Looking good Mark. I may have missed it, but, which parts so far are metal? You did mention that the turret is "Big and heavy" so I'm guessing it is metal? wyatt

    Routemaster Bus

Fantastic news Admin! Thank you for the update. Who else on this forum is looking forward to this kit? wyatt
  20. Received pack 12 today (8-5-2021) and all was complete. Thank you Agora Models for a great subscription. A very special thank you to the whole Agora Team, top to bottom, for your time and effort with this subscription, especially through these uncertain and difficult times. Well done!! Now for the Routemaster Bus. Drum roll please................ wyatt

    Routemaster Bus

First, a big Thank You to the decision makers at Agora for bringing the Routemaster bus kit to us. August starts tomorrow and the announcement is eminent. Please don't make us wait too long. Really looking forward to this kit. We'll find out soon enough, but I hope they will offer it as a 12 month subscription. 24 month subscriptions are way too long for me. Heck, I'd do a full kit option. Stay healthy everyone. wyatt
  22. Greetings folks, I received my email notification with tracking number for pack 12 (I'm in the USA). The link given takes you to the home page for DPD, which isn't very friendly to find where you can track your package. Use this link to go to their tracking page; https://www.parcelmonitor.com/ then enter your tracking number at the top. Don't be surprised if it doesn't find anything. Usually when you get your tracking number the package hasn't been picked up yet. Check daily to see how long it takes. Keep trying. I've never heard of DPD, so I'm guessing they offered Agora a cheaper shipping rate. Oh well, wish they would just use FED EX or UPS, at least in the USA. wyatt
  23. BigDee, Eagle36 and others interested, go to World of Wayne's YouTube channel -link below- for a peek at an upcoming vid he's doing concerning this model. Looks interesting. Skip forward to 8:36 minutes and then stay tuned until next week for the full vid. I won't be doing this build as I'm waiting for the Routemaster Bus. BigDee, your build list is most impressive. Looks like you'll need a separate room to display them all. wyatt
  24. John, you still out there? Looks like my wish (and other folks) has come true. The Routemaster is coming this fall!!!!!!! Outstanding. I'll be getting this one, or two, for sure. I'm basing this on a picture on the Agora Homepage towards the bottom. A split picture, half fire truck and half Bus. This may be old news for you'all but I'm usually a day late and a dollar short. Cheers! wyatt
  25. You will receive an email from Agora with a tracking number - from UK Royal Mail - that will let you see when it leaves the UK. Then use the same tracking number on the USPS tracking site to follow the progress here in the US. It will take awhile to get out of Chicago. Keep checking the USPS site until they have it in their possession and then eventually it will show a delivery date. Good luck.
