Might be a silly question, but did you glue the legs of the crane as show in this pic of the instructions where the red arrows are?? I know the rest is not glued, but even though it doesn't say glue it, it seems to me that it makes sense to glue these legs. The rest needs to move. Thanks

I’m still a couple of weeks away from the crane work, but I always watch Wayne’s build videos as he always finds solutions to any problems before I get to them. 🙂

At first I didn't. When I started to rig them I got very frustrated with everything moving making the process harder, so I glued them in place.

I watched his crane video (might have been the first Bismarck) and as I recall he had a frustrating time with them also.

Ok thanks, I haven't gotten to point of rigging yet, but I did glue those legs down. Everything else moves as it should. Hope this helps.

In short, yes. You're going to have all sorts of problem if you don't.
