Hi all!

Anybody has this issue with the seat back? It just doesn't rest correctly on the seat cushion... Looks to me like the stop on the right hand bracket is too low making it impossible for it to go any lower.... Did I miss something?

I just checked, no I have a 1/8 " or so consistent gap. So looks like you're right and "inside" bracket is mis-aligned, did you dis-assemble anything to weather and detail?

Hi Mike, that's odd... I did disassemble the seat to very and this is what I found...

Ended up grinding off both stops (as they are really useless), reassemble the seat and now the back rest seats perfectly...

Bizarre...

Joaquin, I see what you mean, looks like you got it worked out.

I did snap a pic of mine, (completely untouched since original assembly) and the gap is just a bit tighter on the left (inside) than the right. Glad you were able to fix it.

Yes! that's exactly what I ment. Though mine was touching one the left and off by almost 1/8" on the right. Which ment that the back rest was not facing straight.

Thanks for the reference pics!

The wait for Pack 7 is killing me (cant believe some of you are already at Pack 8 !!!! ) so I need to keep busy... 😒

So I decided to add the wheel valves that are missing in this build. Below is how I did it.

Kept me busy for a big 20 minutes... 🙄

Ummm, it's still missing the balancing weights... 🤣😉

Seriously though, looks great, as always and I'm right there with you, waiting. I did get a notification Pack 7 has been mailed and will hopefully be here next week. I hope yours arrives soon as well.

Balancing weights! Great idea, why didn't I think of that! 🤣

I did get the shipping notification too. Looks like I should get Pack 7 by the end of next week but it's Pack 8 that I'm really looking forward to get.

Still killing time... nothing since May 3rd and I don't think Pack 7 will be in in June. 😡

Anyway, this was bothering me since I finished it. The front suspension is non functional due to the rigid rack assembly and sway bar... so I decided to mod this too.

The way I did this, I cut the rack and the sway bar and rejoint them with some heat shrink tube...

Now, the front suspension has much more liberty.

I know, this was not absolutely necessary but my brain needs to keep busy. 😏

Woohoo! Just received Pack 7 after almost two months of forced abstinence !

First impression, quite disappointed that the clock and the radio are not back-lit like the rest of the instruments...

I will have to think about whether it is possible to correct this deficiency and how it can be remedied.

If anyone can, you can. You should change your status from member to Master Modder.

Mods of the weekend... Back lighting the Clock and the Radio.

I changed the LEDs to warm white (instead of the cold white supplied) for the instruments... The warm white gives a much more "vintage" look IMO.

Also used a blue LED for the "radar". In my souvenir, it was green but after searching the net, looks like it's blue. Can anyone confirm?

Still missing the little details but I'm pretty happy with the result so far. 😁

Ok, answering my own question...

The "radar" was indeed green like I remembered. Bond was using it to track Goldfinger through the Swiss Alps!

I'll change that LED to green.

Here it is with the green LED... Much better! 😎

Wow, you're absolutely right, the warm white is much more accurate to the old bulbs all vehicles came with in the 60's. Speaking from personal experience, my first car, (1964 Impala, handed down from my father who bought it new) had small teal rubber covers over the white bulbs, giving the dash lights a pleasant blue/green glow. I like how you backlit the clock, if I had to guess, they illuminated their dash with small bulbs placed above or below their gauges and the lights were "splashed" across the gauges. This looks to me like an accurate (very) scale representation of the dashboard.

The green on the radar screen really sells and ties it all together. I'm thinking I'll have to find a green cover or paint that LED, because the green really brings it to life. Kudos again my friend.

Not sure green paint will work on the LED, nor a green filter (mica).

White LEDs are not white but RGB (Red Green Blue). If you put a colored filter in front, a weird phenomenon happens and it cancels out that part of the RGB, giving a weird color.

Same thing will happen if Agora uses white LEDs for the tail lights... White LEDs through a red lens = not true red output. Already planning to swap those if that's the case.

BTW, the warm white LEDs in the dash are not as yellow as they look like in the picture.

My first car was a 1974 Bobcat (the luxury revision of the Pinto 😅) and I do remember those "condom-like" things over the incandescent bulbs. 😂

I wanted to copy the great idea submitted by @Oliv79 and add some carpet to the front of the back seat.

Unfortunately, I didn't have any "in stock" 😅 so I think I found the next best substitute... I used some self adhesive velcro (the loop portion). It's a bit "plush" but I think it looks pretty good. I considered black flock but I wasn't sure how it would stick to the vinyl seat.

Anyway, just wanted to share my alternate option.

Again, thanks @Oliv79 for sharing your build. Merci!

Easy! Seat belt, I really need to invest in 3D printer!

Good job as usual!

Some work on the rear seat... Weathering and Seat Belts. Just killing time... 😅

Don't know why dust shows so much on my pics 🤔...

Jo.mora - Do you have any inside information on the voltage that is delivered to the dashboard lights as I would like to put warm white and green like you have done. So the last thing I want it to do is go pfft when it's all put together.  I can see that it runs on 4.5v but does this change on the circuit board to something less and do I need a resistor in line or possibly 2 seeing as the green may have a lower forward voltage as indeed will warm white.....any help gratefully received

Lol! my first attempt with the green LED went Pfff ! 🤣

I'm no LED expert but the green one definitely requires less voltage so I put a resistor on it (something like 300 Ohms I believe) to reduce the voltage.

I used 3 VDC to power the circuit. Since the car will have 3 batteries, it will be 4.5 VDC max but I intend to test it once I receive the rest of the electronics and adjust with resistors as/if required.

Hope this helps.
