Jaguar assembly trouble

I have some trouble with Jaguar assembly:

- where batteries are located and where are connected?

-how is fixed rear luggage support? no holes....may be is bonded?

Hello Marco,

Batteries are located under / inside the engine block

 

And if you want to fix the rear luggage support, you have to drill 6 holes...

Must admit, the luggage rack confused me too. After I'd made it, I couldn't find any instructions at all about what to do with the thing.

Seems kinds of pointless...

You need to drill out some holes in the boot lid in order to fit the luggage rack.  There are instructions on Pack 11, stage 83.  However, the luggage rack is optional, as it was on the real car!  You don't need to fit it if you don't want it.

I drilled and glued 2mm neodymium magnets into the holders of the carrier.

Exactly at the places where the pens were poured.

I also glued neodymium magnets under the trunk lid where the holes should be placed.

Now I can put on or take off the luggage rack as I wish.

I like that solution . I would be hesitant to drill the trunk lid and possibly damage the great paint job.

that was exactly what I was thinking, I was just afraid of taking this step. And then I came up with the magnet solution.
