  1. It can be dangerous and unforgiving .I have used a heat gun to shape plastic and then plunge it in water. Your windshield is would NOT be a good practice piece though. It takes practice on scrap pieces before one feels confident. Before the heat gun try softening the plastic with hot water and shaping it.
  2. I cannot access the Pack 1-10 instruction downloads to work on my Porsche 917. The Website opens with a Page 404 error message.
  3. Sorry to learn about these issues that you are having. I have a kit here but if it has issues I am not looking forward to building it. I never was able to get the drivers door to close properly on my Super Snake. The preprinted metal bodies are not easy to modify.
  4. It is a well designed model with zero issues.IMO
  5. Check the last pack number in Box 10 and the first in Box 12. I believe the model came packed in 11 boxes and not 12. My IXO Full kit Mercedes did come in 12 packs however.
  6. That makes sense. Stylistically it will look nice as well. I will go with that plan for now and thanks.
  7. I hope so as well. We will keep busy for sure.
  8. I just began building regular wheels. There are 16/6 tires and 16/7 tires . What size tires belong on the Regular spoke wheels? Are they interchangeable with either wheel, easy or regular?
  9. It is helpful to have all the parts ahead of time to be sure of possible future fitting problems.Of course having complete model instructions is important. I often look ahead to be sure that I am on the right track. Some of us may have poor health and don't know how long they will be able to build models. I have four subscriptions ongoing and can't wait for them to be completed. Never again will I go the sub route.
  10. The pics are beautiful. Real auto racing history. I love the carrier .
  11. Build is complete. I am very pleased with the quality of this kit. I had no real issues with build and love the fit and finish. The batteries are easy to get to .
  12. Great job . I am glad that you posted the fine picks. Quite the project.
  13. Looks great! You are and should be very proud of your build and it's acquisition. Perhaps 43 is now a lucky number for you. Thanks for the photo.
  14. I have completed the Lotus . I am very happy with the build and kit. This Pocher model has many pieces that are attached with glue so patience is required but well worth it. I love the finish and details.
  15. I have not looked at the problem that you mention. I would look at the instructions for the W196 on IXO website to see if they offered an answer however.
  16. I am excited about this news. I never thought I would see a 57 offered . I hope IXO introduces it as a "full kit" as they often do.
  17. My previous note regarding brake assembly order was not accurate. The brake support must be screwed in place first. Then install the shafts with rotors. The calipers and outer brake body screw on last along with the photo etched covers.
  18. The Bugatti is a dream come true. I have a Pocher 1933 50T that is one of my favorite models I have built.
  19. Looks great. I am getting anxious to build mine before too long. Two more subscriptions to go.
  20. Moving along. Be sure to mount inside brake support before assembling brake unit. It will not fit over rotors in one piece.
  21. Have fun with your newest acquisition. I am sure that you will bring back to beauty.
