  1. Credit where credits due. Web pages up as promised. 🙂👍⭐️
  2. I have a plumber who always says that 🙂

  4. Yes, I can only agree with you there. For the price that Agora ask for a 'museum-quality' model, some of the more important parts and finishes are underwhelming.
  5. Doesn't sound like you're having a great experience there Tom. Have you tried emailing Sophie in customer service?

    Routemaster Bus

😀 Yes, it definitely looks like a great model. Looking forward to seeing Agoras' alternative to all the screwheads on the exterior of the Hachette version - they really spoilt the finish for many.

    BLTN I suppose 🙁

Yes, you have. But sadly not on this occasion.

Mine too. Unusual to expect Agora to advise you. 🤣🤣🤣
  10. Yes, it looks like it will be a popular kit, so perhaps they’ll extend it to the states. I think Oligo models offer a forwarding service for countries not covered by the original part work provider - but it comes at a price. Box #1 arrived today, and all parts bar the tyre and headlamp are metal. Both the model and IXO delivery service are very impressive. I see McLaren are adopting the full ‘Gulf’ livery for their cars for the Monaco GP this weekend.
  11. Good point Igor - an appropriate description of the parts being fitted would definitely help to educate, improve the build experience and reflect the quality and both the buyers and sellers investment in the model.
  12. Yes, but strangely not visible on the original marketing photos
  13. Lol, thought this was Agora, not Eaglemoss 🤣🤣
  14. Have you asked CS? I think many of us would like to know the colour shade used (it looks to have a metallic finish if I am not mistaken?). A good replacement source and if possible a RAL number would be ideal.

    Pack 2 issues

Very surprising as each of the casts would have been thoroughly inspected. A gentle application of a small drill bit should fix the problem.
  16. It would certainly be more practical if the weight-bearing components were metal, as they are on many 1:8 scale models. Moreover, this also benefits screw-tightening and the overall quality of the finished vehicle.
  17. Marks out of 10. Sadly the damage caused by the boot lid catching the fin below the rear window keeps catching the my eye and that of interested peeps seeing it in the window. Even had a comment yesterday from a passer-by suggesting I really should have asked Agora for a fresh bodyshell when I told him how much the thing cost! Interestingly I was lead to believe I was the only one to suffer this issue and to seek advice on the forum (Agora CS are not technical), only to find on FB that others have suffered the same problem resulting in an ugly finish to a £1000+ model. I guess this is one of the downsides when opting for a ‘replicant’ kit with minor feature changes, in this case from Deagostini GT500 to Agora Super Snake with the latter choosing to ignore the short-comings of the former version in order to maximise the return on their ‘new model’. Just in case Agora CS are reading this, the title of this piece ‘marks out of 10’ asks about Agora and this model specifically - so no need to begin chasing me asking what YOU did wrong again.
  18. Has anyone found that the GT500 doors appear both 'floppy' on their hinges and loose in the body frame? I appreciate that the hinges must provide some vertical movement to enable a better fit the aperture, but would appreciate any suggestions on how to keep them flush with the body rather than partially open whilst on display?
  19. Many thanks for your suggestions. Applied Silvo and gently buffed it off a number of times until the Mark's became almost imperceptible. Great tip, thanks again!
  20. Hi, Has anyone else had issues with marks on the front windshield? Had two now, both badly marked with a third promised direct from the plant (suggesting a quick audit of current stock proved fruitless). Suspect a modicum of chain-yanking from CS as presumably 'plant' is most likely overseas resulting in long and ultimately disappointing wait to complete my first Agora build.
  21. Just got the build out again to add 9 and 10 but the steering wheel and centre boss are still coming loose when turning the wheels with the model held in mid-air. If you could arrange some replacement parts Lou I would be grateful. Thanks for your offer.

  23. Thanks Lou, I will if I can’t come up with an alternative solution. I’ve put it away for now, a tad frustrating.
  24. Looks great John. Not got around to mine yet (still recovering from fitting the steering). But I have ordered a cool decal set for the engine bay and other areas of the model.
