Dorsal cover won't stay.

Does anyone else have the problem that the power switch sticks out too far and prevents the dorsal growth cover from properly sticking with the magnets? If so, what did you do? I'm thinking I may have to cut the internal cover around the switch to seat it properly.

You probably haven't push the switch in far enough.  Mine took a fair bit of force to push the switch fully into its socket.

You can see when the switch is fully seated as there is no gap between the switch bezel and the surrounding plastic.
