After the individual parts of the body were assembled, the rest went pretty quickly.

Since I want to make the body removable later, I replaced all the screws with pins.

Yes, you can see them, unfortunately that is unavoidable, but at least they are not Phillips screws.

And here with the body removed, the only thing missing is the second set of wheels with single spokes in new, but they are still coming.

 

 

I hope you enjoyed my construction report, I definitely enjoyed the model. I welcome comments and suggestions.

That's brilliant.  Love the attention to detail, down to the leaves caught in the grill!  Great idea using pins to replace the screws for the body.  I may well steal that idea when I get to build mine.

Thanks for the feedback.

Always happy, that's why I share ideas and don't sell them as a construction report. By the way, these are round head nails 1.2 mm long but I shortened them accordingly and painted the head silver or white in the two places on the start number.

Fabulous model!!   Just a nice amount of "weathering" too.   Love the maple(?) leaves!   The seat fabric looks absolutely spot-on for colour and pattern size.

Thank you all for the positive feedback.

I came up with the idea for the leaves when I saw this graphic of the opening mechanism.

I even wanted to make it functional but gave up on the idea.

Let's see how closely you looked at my pictures. Who discovered the third maple leaf? 😉
