You know what would be really good?

If after the W196R you would bring the matching racing transporter blue miracle in 1:8.

That would be so awesome and everyone who builds the W196 would take the transporter right away.

Like the one here in 1:18 only bigger.

Like this homemade one by Karsten Schmidt, that would be terrific.

WOW, that part looks really good. please give me / us further information, pictures etc. the blue wonder totally inspires me.

31 inches, what scale is that? The original car is 6.75 m long, so in the 1:8 scale model it is approx. 84.4 cm or 33.2 inches long.
The original Transporter is 2 m wide and has a wheelbase of 3.05 m.

It is supposed to be 1/8 scale,  Printed from a CULTS 3D file.  I believe that it will be a little short due to the size restraints of the resin printer used.  But for the price it will have to make due.   I am planning to use spare Eaglemoss 300SL parts for the lights, wheels, dash, and grill. For the chassis, either the 300sl tube or the chassis from the Back to the Future Delorean.  I would like to replace the printed ramps with brass.   On top of that, I will need to find a way to strengthen the body to hold the weight of the W196.

I'll revisit the old post. Since my W196R will be finished shortly and the start of the W198 will follow, such a racing transporter would be exactly the right thing. It would be really great if Agora or any other provider would produce this vehicle in 1:8.

I can really well imagine that many of those who built the Fangio or Moss car or the 300SL would present them at the “Blue Wonder”.

It would be really great to have this vehicle as a model.
