On with the rest of pack 4.  Stage 26 gives us the sub frame lower braces

 

 

Firstly, fit the steering rod bracket.  

 

 

Then add the left lower brace.  This pushes onto the pins under the wishbone and screws into the front cross member.

 

 

The right brace isn't fitted yet as it covers a screw hole that we need to access later.

Stage 27 gives us the front left brake suspension, although mine was parts for the right side.

 

 

Slide the caliper onto the brake disc.  

 

 

Add the upright and screw the caliper to it.

 

 

Put the hub unit on the wishbones.  Mine was a little tight.  Not tight enough to stop movement, but there isn't going to be a vast amount of suspension travel.  This doesn't bother me as the model will spend its life in a display cabinet.  However, just scrape the paint off the pins and from the holes in the ends of the wishbones if you want to improve this.

 

 

Fix the hub unit with two screws and two bushes.  Don't overtighen these or you'll li=ock up the steering.

 

 

Assemble the three parts to the shock absorber.

 

 

The top end is fitted with a pin.  This pushes in quite easily.

 

 

The bottom end is fixed with a screw.  

 

 

This completes this stage.

Stage 28 gives us the other side brake and suspension.

 

 

Assembly is a repeat of stage 27.

 

 

Stager 29 gives us the sump and torsion bars.

 

 

These just push together.

 

 

Stage 30 gives us the cooling system components.

 

 

The header tank screws together very easily.

 

 

So does the cooling fan assembly.

 

 

The fan assembly pushes on to the header tank.  This will be fitted later.

 

 

Stage 31 gives us the front subframe.

 

 

The front subframe base is screwed in position.

 

 

Put the header tank assembly on the top of the subframe.

 

 

Now add the two front braces.  These hold the header tank assembly in place.

 

 

This completes Pack 4.  Pack 5 will follow shortly.
