  1. This car was very popular with some good friends if mine with college degrees.. The car was very dependable and wouldn't die as I remember was their love for it as well as safe. When I saw the model I had to build it . Nostalgia is a strong motivator as I get older. The model 's components are very well detailed and finished. I have began tapping the holes in the die cast metal for the tapping screws. I find it actually faster in the long run and easier on the screwdrivers. The typical sizes used in Pocher models work well and can be purchased as a set from Paul Koos or on EBAY. I will post a few pics soon.
  2. Wow. All this intermingling causes me discomfort and distrust. It can lead to all sorts of issues such as price fixing for just one. It is one of the reasons I am more comfortable purchasing full kits which I know to be a controversial subject among many builders.
  3. Pack 6 Porsche 714 that was subscribed Nov. 28 arrived today on Christmas Eve. I am very happy to have it safe and sound now. It was a long anxious wait . This pack is chuck full of goodies including chassis components. Bad day to have my diverticulitis flare up however. Old age is tough on me. Have a great holiday everyone!
  4. I had them on the cars and trucks I drove back in the day. They were called "wing windows". We had to be sure the hinges were in good shape so they didn't fall out. Some even opened electrically on the higher dollar cars. I miss them as well. I also miss lots of chrome and the window gutters but that's me.
  5. The Lotus 72D is here now. I will peek in the box soon for first impressions. It showed up fast. They sent it thru DHL. They must have a way to speed around or thru customs.
  6. It is a real attention grabber. So many curves and shapes . Quite a feat of body work yet still had the split windshield.
  7. That would make an interesting addition to most collections. It took quite an imagination to design it in the first place. Thanks for sharing it with us.
  8. It has not moved, according to USPS tracking since Dec.15.
  9. Thanks Mark. I will review it at least. It is shipping from England so who knows when it will arrive. Pocher has shipped it and estimates arrival to me 23 Dec. I also have a IXO Mercedes still unopened here from Santa. He came early. I am excited about both.
  10. Thanks . I will need to do that on my PC. I can't figure this MacBook out.
  11. I will do that carefully. Their last 1/4 Ducati bikes were very nicely detailed with many pieces of a variety of materials.. I built the anniversary edition. I don't know how far to go discussing models by other companies however on this forum.
  12. I wish I read German. The bike is beautiful. The engine looks ready to fuel and run?
  13. I am excited because the 1/8 scale Lotus 72D is finally shipping my way. It was a worthwhile wait.
  14. I'm in on the Bentley blower although I have a Airfix still in the box.

I know little about planes but I do think your build is awesome and interesting especially the detailed engine. Thanks for sharing it.
  16. That car is precious memory and most historic. Great suggestion and thanks. I loved that it was Ford powered and so dominant.
  17. I have my fingers crossed. I think I will have it by then.
  18. Oh boy. Assembling models require all sorts of patience. I learned that building the old Pocher "classics" with plastic bodies. I still build the old kits. Nearly every piece requires fitting but in the end I get a good feeling because I faced the challenge and finished a beautiful car. After them the metal cars are much better designed and pretty easy. Hope your parts come very soon.
  19. Great news . I hope you get it today.
