I'm excited to get this project started! I ordered the 12 pack accelerator and should begin in the next day or two. I've read that some parts that may originally have been shipped may have upgrades (for example, parts of the forecastle deck). I had planned to get some paint for the capstans, air vents etc but will obviously hold off if that is the case. Can anyone confirm appropriate upgraded parts are sent in later packs?

Also, any recommendations for other upgrades? I don't mind putting extra work in and a bit of painting here or there, I just don't want to go the level of a Trumpeter custom build job. Any advice/information is appreciated. Thanks!
