Felix's cobra build number 84/427
Collector_felix replied to Collector_felix's topic in Members Build Diaries
Here is pack 5 of my build In this pack the rear suspension is completed and the trunk floor is fitted. The rear wherls are then built and fitted. After this we build up the front suspension and steering mechanism. This stage is finished off by fitting the front wheels to complete the rolling chassis -
Any news on this from anyone at agora at all?

Greg's Cobra Build with modifications.
Collector_felix replied to Greg's topic in Members Build Diaries
Hi Greg, this looks stunning! Have you made any more progress at all? -
Here is my build of the Shelby Cobra. I bought the full kit from a chap who no longer had the time to build model sadly. The full kit was totally un touched and unopened, even more this was the limited edition kit with the special display base and number plate. This is edition number 84 of 427 (I wonder how many they have actually sold?) I will be primarily showcasing my build over on my YouTube channel, with a new video going up each Saturday . I will post the link here along with a couple of pics too, mainly.the part packs and finished stage.y videos will be a bit different to the usual 'instructional' type most people do, for this I am.going for what I call a 'speed build' Anyway, here is pack 1 of my build, I hope you all.enjoy this journey with me, and remember to git that subscribe button if you like my.content.

Does anyone from agora even read any of these posts?

Hi, does anyone know when the bismarck book will be available to purchase? I did the build from hachette but I would like to purchase the book to go withy collection of other books. The website also mentions the book will be available to purchase but i can't find it anywhere.
-
I built this from hachette, and I have 2 main probls with mine. Problem 1. The 3 radars all worked fine when testing during the build, but the completed model none of them rotate. All connections have been checked, again they work with the tests but not from the remote control or any of the auto functions. Problem 2. During the fire port/fire staboard automation, both of the aft side gun turrest rotate respectively continously and run the gun barrels into the super structure. This seems to be the most common fault and as yet no fix has been addressed from hachette. Its frustrating as the rest of the model is superb.

Bismarck Pack 2 - stage 18
Collector_felix replied to WonderWoman's topic in Pack 02 – Bismarck official build diary
The 'clicking' is the recoil of the guns firing. Its just a simple spring loaded cam mechanism. I am unaware of audio on the model. The 3 actions - rotation, elevation and firing will all be able to be controlled separately on the completed ship, all 3 are going at once on the test -
Any updates on this? Seems strange the bismark build has no members build diary section when all the other models have it
-
How come there is no memebrs build diary section for the bismarck? Is it just a case of been missed?

Just been sent an email from agora linking to the website which is currently password protected. I was originally put off with this model as I'm not a tank guy or military enthusiast at all really..... What can I say, this is 1 impressive model! As I mentioned I'm not a tank guy at all, but boy I'm very interested in this! The spec list is huge!!!!! The features look really good and the special elite member website preview I have been granted access to is packed with info, pictures and videos of the actual model along with images and videos of the real tank for comparissons. I dont think anyone who gets this will be disappointed, and it certainly looks like no other model I've seen before in terms of features. Nice work agora 👏🏻👏🏻

Bismarck modifications
Collector_felix replied to Marcus Lobbes's topic in Bismarck (& other battleships)
I suppose there could be a possibility but you would need to seal every single panel to make the Hull water tight. Its quite heavy but if the displacement is correct it could float. No idea how stable it would be though. Personally I'm not willing to risk finding out considering how much it cost. -
My next upgrade, again in the engine bay came from Mr Fusion Designs https://mrfusiondesigns.com/ this is the missing windshield wash bottle in the engine bay. This is a super nice little addition and looks fantastic.

Space Battleship Yamato 2202
Collector_felix replied to Cygnus Projects's topic in New Product Ideas
I'm not really into ships - despite building the bismarck, I only chose that as at the time I wasn't building anything and itching for something new and loved all the electrics in it...... thanks, I'll add them to my subs list 👍🏻 -

Wow this looks awesome! Keep sharing these videos! Can't wait to see the next installment -
Thanks so much! I really appreciate the kind comments. This is my 1st time weathering anything so I've been learning a lot. I'm not going for accuracy so much as more to make it look like an old sea battered vessel as you say. I do plan to make the engine room look a little oily and grubby, so I'll get round to that some time soon. I have also made a start with an initial weathering pass on the Hull but nothing too heavy - bit of dirt here and there, rust staining around the anchors and various portholes etc. Only above the waterline though. I have an idea to make the red section below the waterline look like it's got a few barnacles, algae staining etc and a bit of minor rust here and there but not sure how to achieve that look yet. The Hull weathering above is another fellow builder and it looks awesome. I am also looking at something along similar lines to what he has. I just need a few more paints than what I have currently.

A few update shots of my latest weathering and parts added to stage 106. Rear deck section weather and blended with previous deck, added extra weathering to the funnel to attempt take the top look a bit soot stained from the fuel oil.

I remember seeing your post on Facebook about these. Really neat

Amazing work! I'm glad to see you share this here too.
