  1. Frankstang; please give us a review of the Lotus 72D when it arrives.
  2. The 1968 Corvette was derived from the Mako Shark show car
  3. The McLaren MP4/4 was my first 1/8 partworks build and an excellent model, even by todays standards, glass smooth paint finish on nonmetal body, designed by diecast maker Kyosho This would make an EXCELLENT accompaniment to the Agora Limited Edition of 60 pieces Ferrari 312T4 https://deagostini.jp/mcd/?fbclid=IwAR3lkRUNRvid7JbQsnQ7Ztuphx0zx6P-0Ht2EPx5HRySdhkwv_Oal_xfVg4
  4. Due to severe Covid restrictions in China , expect delays in products until at least mid 2023, possibly until the end of next year.
  5. It is too costly for small companies like Agoras to produce an entire kit for sale all at once, tooling used to cost $500-600K and is probably increased along with everything else. Only IXO and Eligor, which are the main factories can afford to release a full kit model initially.
  6. THANK YOU AGORA: Can't wait until April to order, you have fulfilled my wishes , even with the right color scheme I wanted.
  7. Nope; my doors worked about 10--15 times then the right door stopped functioning properly, I took it apart to try and fix, I just leave them both open now........
  8. Has anyone purchased the complete kit and special display case with autographs? I have not seen any posted.
  9. World of Wayne You Tube site has made the announcement of the 1:43Ferrari Collection, it is one the Agora site UK here: https://www.agoramodels.com/ferrari-gt-collection/
  10. Another guess; since 'water' is somehow a clue, how about this gorgeous Bugatti Atlantic in black--'water=Atlantic Ocean =?
  11. "water Comes first' -a SHIP needs water and the Chevrolet Corvette was named after a sailing ship AND the 1963 Corvette was subtitled 'Stingray' which also lives in water.. My guess is a 1963 'split window' Corvette coupe [at least I hope it is] in Silver, with red interior please! On the other hand I've read that licensing fees from General Motors are exhorbant, so maybe not.
  12. I am interested in adding enhanced details and welcome any photos to see where it could be done;. You are correct, there wasn't any aftermarket upgrades made for this model other than a decal sheet to add labeling to the switch panels, engine bay and to replace the side pod sponsor and white marking where some tampons printed by the factory did not line up properly. Currently I trying to find a photo etch supplier to make brake disc overlays , like IXO has done on the 917K.
  13. Welcome Parnelli to the forum and sharing your life;'s experiences and your comments on the model. I agree about your comments on using a glue in certain parts, I. wish IXO could have gone bit further on duplicating materials more accurately, such as the fan housing and corresponding parts that could have been molded in a translucent material, instead of just being painted. On the other hand the wheels, tires and brake discs with the photoetched surfaces are a great addition to the realism. We'd love to see photos of your progress .
  14. I wonder with no 'coming soon' addition on the home page if the next release will be a limited edition, like the Ferrari 312T4 was................... If there ever was a partworks that should be released worldwide , the Centauria Ferrari 250GTO would be my first vote!
  15. I had started this before Agora offered the 917K, so I'm a bit ahead of the members builds, but though you might want to see photos of the nearly complete chassis and the upgrades/changes I've made for your own build. -engine has a matte finish by using TamiyaTS-80 rattle can. - The plug wire leads were changed for a smaller diameter gauge found on Amazon, and added RB Motion plug wire ends on the distributors. -fuel injection pump screw hole filled and pump painted with Model Master 1451 Flat aluminum, alternator also painted with same. The clear injector lines will kink when connected to the injectors, so mechanics wires were inserted into the tubes and shaped for uniformity. Bear in mind all of these are covered with the fan shroud and injector housings , so decide if is worth the effort. Transaxle; matte finish TS-80 again -axle shaft u-joint screws ground flat and ends painted with gunmetal Model Master 1455 bottle paint, shafts mounted in drill press and polished to add some color differing. -exhaust painted after sanding and filling seams with Tamiya gray primer 87026, bolts for brackets are 00-90 hex bolts painted chrome. Chassis: -a bit tricky work here, but the mount screw heads and frame bosses ground down and filled with Tamiys putty, then sanded smooth and brushed/blended with flat black. Again consider some of will be covered with wheel housings. -still need to figure out replacement of cross brace, shock mount and stabilizer screw mounts :
  16. Aramex is Agoras shipper as suspected; oddly my shipping notice from Agoras was sent AFTER the shipment arrived. A thorough check of each pack inventory is recommended, after all with the limited production if there is anything missing, will Agora be able to provide them?
  17. I have received a shipping notice from Aramex; is this Agoras shipper, no notice from Agora or anything on my order history online.
  18. This one is much more challenging to figure out Mark, several possibilities , will there be more clues coming?
  19. Second that thought; as detailed as the kit is, there were some aftermarket decals and upgrade mods that builders have done that could be posted here.
