Stage 99, Mounting the body and rear bumper

Start this stage by adding the lower hood support. It should be installed so that the hinge points DOWN. Next, add the foam bumper pad to the front of the right wheel arch.

 

Next, place the chassis and body side by side, and connect all the various cables.

Test all the functions on the remote as per the build guide.

Next, bundle the front cables together, and secure with 2 large pieces of tape. repeat for the rear cables as well.

The next step is to place the body on top of the chassis and then tuck the front cables between the dash and the rear above the circuit board and the rear deck. Then, as per the directions, screw the chassis to the body. You'll need a long screwdriver for some of these.

Now, we install the front bumper braces. These are labeled L and R. Place them in position after you have removed the 2 screws securing the front bumper to the body. Slip the braces under the bumper, and secure the brace to the chassis with 2 CM screws per side. Then remount the front bumper and the braces with AM screws.

Mount the rear bumper/body panel assembly to the main body.

The next step is to mount the chrome tailpipes to the mufflers. These are held in place with FP screws.

Once the tailpipes have been mounted, install the lower halves of the mufflers. these are a snap fit into the upper halves.

Next, we install the hood (bonnet) hinges. for these, you'll need  HP screws.

Fix the hood in place with 4 HP screws, 2 per side. Then slot the hood support together, and close the hood to check for fit.
