Pack 11 - Stage 88. Canopy & air intake.

Stage 88 gives us the canopy and air intake, and we also install the engine.

Push the engine in place.  It's easier to remove the cowling to do this.

Push the cover in place.  The long pin will lock the engine in place.

Now you can fit the engine cowls.

 

The canopy is attached next.  Push the front section in place.

Clip the middle section in place.  This must be free to slide.

Push the rear cockpit cover in place.  This must fit down against the fuselage or it will stop the rear canopy section fitting.

Check both sides.  I found this was a little reluctant to fit, but did go with a bit of persuasion.  You may need to remove excess paint from the location pins, etc.

Push the rear canopy section in place.  This must also fit properly or it will stop the canopy middle section sliding open.

Check that the canopy will slide open easily.  

Fit the three parts of the air intake together.  These need gluing together with a little superglue.

Push the air intake assembly onto the bottom of the plane.

Finally, fit the panel that came with stage 72.

This completes the stage.
