I wondered if it might be useful to other builders of the route master bus who maybe were in need of spare parts unfortunately whilst building the front axle i broke one of the Shock absorber fixture labelled 6C see attached pics i contacted sophie at Agora customer services and they very kindly posted a replacement pack containing not just the part i needed but a complete stage 6 pack i only needed the 6C part and thought if anyone else had suffered a mistake like me and needed the parts listed i would be happy to pass it on with just cost of postage it would be handy if any other builders listed spare parts so others could benefit dose that seem like a good idea or am i being daft anyhoo message me if you need these parts giddy

wow that was quick lol i just got pack this afternoon so plan on starting that tomorrow

i have a parcel due monday hopefully that's it re painting i find a cotton bud soaked in isopropyl alcohol is great for removing over paint keep up with your modification pics im following your lead

hopefully mines on the way im definitely going to paint mine black when i drove the RMs back in the late 80s they all had cabs painted black i never saw a brown one

hi julian you got pack 4 already ? think it looks good i was planning on doing the same as well as painting the cab floor black as most RM cabs were

i got a tin of humbrol silver and a very fine brush and a cotton wool bud to wipe off any mistakes it wasn't to difficult to do

I decided to paint the 4 tread strips on the front off side wing silver too match the actual WLT857 routemaster bus as many had them painted silver see attached pics i know my mod isn't the best paint job my hands aren't that steady i should've painted them whilst they were still attached to the sprue but hey ho i don't think they look to bad

cheers for the info would the nuts have come from microfastners that you mentioned before ?

hey i think your mods look great especially the kick plates on the stairs i saw another modeller building the RMT use hornby track pins as imitation rivets he also did the same on the seat backs and on exterior panels he filled in the centre of screws and painted them so they didn't look to obvious on the roof the original buses had 5 raised strips across the width he covered the joins with a strip of plastic sprayed red to match the roof and cover the joins in the metal sections it's only a short vid but interesting link below
