  1. at the end of the day with so many buses in so many depots im guessing they got painted with whatever was handy
  2. you are correct attached actual picture inside WLT857
  3. re saloon floors and rear access i definitely agree the plastic is too orange nothing like the wood slats in real RMs im going to get some burnt umber acrylic paint and try and do a weathered wash on floors please keep posting your pics and i will do too ps thanks for tip re fitting cab floor
  4. i did mine separately as the side panel screws in from opposite side but no reason why you couldn't do them joined together i just had to use a round needle file to take a bit of over spray out of the holes for the handbrake
  5. i was on the same 24mth but didn't like the idea of falling behind so contacted agora and changed to 12mth it's only an extra £45 i paid ato catch up and im glad i did
  6. you did a neater job round those warning decals than i did i definitely think it looks better than brown have you tried doing a test fit of the cab floor to the cab shell i have and not not sure if im doing something wrong but mine is incredibly tight to the extent where it's like something is miss sized i really struggled to get it anywhere near a proper fit
  7. Only on models that are fully released already unfortunately for the routemaster you have to wait monthly
  8. So i decided to do a test fit of the cab floor to the cab shell and wow not sure if im doing something wrong but mine is incredibly tight to the extent where it's like something is miss sized i really struggled to get it anywhere near a proper fit has anyone else tried their cab floor in cab shell ? would love to know if anyone else experiencing same problem as me ?
  9. thats the engine stop according to the manual but with floor being black i thought i would highlight it
  10. added pic showing tabs arrowed that are for supporting chassis ... on a side note i noticed when I joined together those 2 big chassis pieces secured underneath with 4 screws and a plastic strip on top with 2 screws that even when tightened the chassis had a fair bit of slack and it easily flexed so I got some araldite glue and figured where all the places where the two parts met and applied the glue re screwed it together and clamped with 4 mini g clamps till glue set and it was solid absolutely no movement along the joint Only problem was when it came to fitting those brackets for side bars two holes for tab and screw were right on that joint and I had inadvertently got glue in the holes luckily I have a handy little pencil drill and just cleared the holes out and fitted brackets but it made me realise I needed to rake care when building as you never know what goes where till further down the build
  11. hi sandro thanks for the very handy tip
  12. the chassis isnt actually sitting on those side bars there are 4 tabs on the inner sides of the chassis that sit on those 4 plastic step shaped blocks that came with pack 4 its sitting on them which im assuming is what they were made for
  13. i asked agora about the passengers when they first announced it was coming available they said at that point they had no plans to supply them as the hachette version was more expensive to buy than theirs was not sure if they've changed their minds on that there are also some for sale on ebay about £12.99 plus postage the usual greedy ba@!ards price lol hopefully agora do supply them even if its just the driver and conductor would be better than nothing
  14. i didn't much care for the brown colour of the cab floor and side panel all the RMs i drove were all painted black (including the real RM857 that this is modeled after if you search on google there are many detailed pics) not sure if the original buses made in the 60s rolled out of the park royal factory painted brown but i prefer black so i painted mine its not perfect im a newbie to model building but im happy with it also made a solid wooden base and fixed those plastic chassis supports in place so i have a secure base to pick the model up and move it without the risk of damaging it
  15. if you go to hachettes website you can still buy the industrial issues for £8.99 the numbers for the figures are: HACHETTE THE CLASSIC ROUTEMASTER ISSUE 46 BUSINESS MAN HACHETTE THE CLASSIC ROUTEMASTER ISSUE 53 MOD GIRL HACHETTE THE CLASSIC ROUTEMASTER ISSUE 60 SEATED LADY HACHETTE THE CLASSIC ROUTEMASTER ISSUE 67 FOOTBALL MAN HACHETTE THE CLASSIC ROUTEMASTER ISSUE 77 SCHOOL BOY HACHETTE THE CLASSIC ROUTEMASTER ISSUE 83 BEATNIK GIRL HACHETTE THE CLASSIC ROUTEMASTER ISSUE 94 BEATNIK MAN HACHETTE THE CLASSIC ROUTEMASTER ISSUE 123 CONDUCTOR HACHETTE THE CLASSIC ROUTEMASTER ISSUE 128 DRIVER
  16. I wondered if it might be useful to other builders of the route master bus who maybe were in need of spare parts unfortunately whilst building the front axle i broke one of the Shock absorber fixture labelled 6C see attached pics i contacted sophie at Agora customer services and they very kindly posted a replacement pack containing not just the part i needed but a complete stage 6 pack i only needed the 6C part and thought if anyone else had suffered a mistake like me and needed the parts listed i would be happy to pass it on with just cost of postage it would be handy if any other builders listed spare parts so others could benefit dose that seem like a good idea or am i being daft anyhoo message me if you need these parts giddy
  17. wow that was quick lol i just got pack this afternoon so plan on starting that tomorrow
  18. i have a parcel due monday hopefully that's it re painting i find a cotton bud soaked in isopropyl alcohol is great for removing over paint keep up with your modification pics im following your lead
  19. hopefully mines on the way im definitely going to paint mine black when i drove the RMs back in the late 80s they all had cabs painted black i never saw a brown one
