yeah it's pretty good for what it does and those little 8ohm speakers are really good, ive been scouring youtube and bbc sounds library for sounds but it's difficult to find stuff
  2. yeah that red and green wire was very obvious lol i copied you re that little silver vent down at bottom of front saloon panel i find it really odd they put so much detail in like the heater control at front off saloon but then don't finish the slider black it's strange must admit this forum is handy for sharing tips
  3. So i did a few touch ups with humbrol Red Gloss 19 (actually a very good match to body colour) on the front near side route number box black screws to match bodywork dabbed a tiny bit of black on the lower saloon heater slide switch ( which was left cream and difficult to see) and made the lower grill silver to stand out see pics below

hey julian i posted that video of sound card you wanted not sure if you seen it
  5. i had exactly the same problem some cab floors slide in some seem to bind i think it's a case of the two ends of cab being pinched i rubbed a bit of Vaseline on bits that come into contact and just pushed it in i had a worry that something might break but it went in ok and as cab floor and side is metal it's robust enough to take it but my top tip remove tax disc before as i broke mine

beeswax is ideal for this its used in leather stitching to ease cord through leather and since this bell wire feels very similar it would be perfect and less messy than glue im thinking plus if you want white cord check ebay for it on leather stitching
  7. i imagine some decent electrical tape would do the job or a bit of plastic from one of thos food containers cut to size and warmed with hairdryer to mold round axle would suffice as its not like model will be run around like a toy
  8. i was the same started on the 24mth plan but when i fell behind waiting for pack 3 and seeing others on with build i thought sod it it's only another £44 a month so contacted customer service and bumped up to 12mthly and was glad i did
  9. Hate to rub it in but im on pack 6 here in UK which goes to lower saloon seating roof and rear stairs fitted
  10. that must be so frustrating especially since it has so far to travel i hope you get it soon
  11. mine are ok but i watched a youtube build by "back to 1985" he had similar issue and he used a piece of aluminum tape wrapped round the axle end
  12. i know some people will think ive messed it up and im the first to admit im no expert at weathering and paint effects but i had a go and i can live with what i have done in my opinion the saloon floor and rear entrance at least looks better than that horrible plasticky orange i also painted the flywheel cowl and rear differential cowl red that pretty much matches the red of bodywork, also the seat backs with those ugly big black screws and the orange dot showing through from seat cushion locator i painted matt grey it's not a perfect match but better than before you will notice a shot looking down to left of engine where the red & green wires from headlights runs ive painted black and where the same wire runs across chassis ive painted grey to blend with chassis i really need to buy a little spray gun but that opens a new can of worms of learning how to use it lol so far now im stuck with a fine tip paint brush
  13. same here really although ive collected a few sunstar models it's my first big model build ive been doing those electronic kit builds before hence the solder station heat gun etc but im really enjoying this bus though i would love to do the james bond aston martin hopefully agora will do that soon and the ghost busters ecto build
  14. I would love to see your workspace, i wish mine was bigger to be honest but it's ok for close up work the wera's were expensive but they are the best quality, i also have a spare bedroom that's 15ft x 15ft that's a work shop i have my bandsaw, crosscut saw, bench grinder/polisher, bench sander and pedestal drill along with a homemade tool drawer set up that's 4ft x 5ft x 3ft and has 4 large drawers it's kinda workshop and storage for tools wood etc
  15. lol i have OCD so i like things labelled and in order and im lucky in that i live on my own so i can have things the way i want 🙂 i had hoped others would share their spaces i pick bits up from things ive seen and im always interested in how others work but it appears a lot come on here but don't comment hey ho
  16. Im curious and interested to see other peoples work spaces they use for building their models i have a walk in cupboard i converted in to my "mancave" with everything i need at hand (so far lol it's always being added to and improved ) i thought i would share it with you all and i would love to see pics of your space .. my problem now as you can see is my desk isn't going to be big enough to accommodate the bus once the rear platform is added this model is going to be huge
  17. Pack 6 instructions now available to download yay lol
  18. i was worried my wiring might be dodgy after having to reverse the C1 & C2 plugs on the cross chassis joining cable so i hooked up C cable where it exits behind rear offside wheel with 4.5v and phew all the head / running lights worked ok in fact i was surprised how much light they throw and how well they look
  19. LOL I thought you were going away for weekend and spacing your build you've done loads there by the look of it 😄 my delivery only just arrived all in one big box so im going to have to sort it all in to order but ive got a couple of diy jobs to do first im making a display shel for when bus is finished with led back lighting etc as for mods i think i will do a darker wash on saloon floors but keeping the flywheel cowl red in line with the actual RM857 my build is going to reflect the as is restored bus rather than how it was in the 60's
  20. Seeing as how pack 6 has been dispatched when will the instructions be available to download ?
  21. hi ken im confused who did you buy the issues from im guessing its the original hachette weekly magazine ? did you buy it from hachette part works or from an ebay seller ? the bit i don't understand is where you say "The Original Seller Cannot Supply the parts So it looks like a lot of people will have an Unfinished Model Bus, Which isn’t really Ideal. How can you still be taking subscriptions to a Model you don’t have parts For ??" you can't blame agora or hachette as hachettes version was sold back in 2020 i think,.. the trouble is you get greedy people who buy loads of issues at £8.99 and then sell them on ebay for ridiculous inflated prices i saw some asking £49.95 per issue which is just pure greed you may have to wait till agora catches up to where you are now in build and see if anyone has the bits you need spare
  22. unfortunately the agora version isn't that far along its only at the lower saloon point did you try contacting agora to see if they would let you buy the missing parts ?
  23. i think the driver and conductor are enough like the bus is just leaving the depot
  24. looking good yeah got dpd but agora email just says your next pack nothing about 2 packs hopefully i get 5 & 6 and i don't think they're doing the figures like i said i asked last sept and they said hachette charged more to include figures but im not bothered i prefer mine without have a nice weekend catch you laters
