  1. Can't wait to get them! Well done Mark, I love short builds πŸ˜†
  2. Thanks Chris for the kind words. On my Titanic there is still 52 issues to go! So just over a year. And today unfortunately I had to give up on the Tumbler, as every six weeks goes by, yes six weeks you have to wait! my patience has grown rather thin, with what you are getting, I know the cockpit has to be built but seriously way too much plastic for my liking and for how much it costs. It was a difficult decision and I did not make it lightly πŸ˜” But there was of course one over riding factor above all on my decision and that was purely financial constraints placed on me by my job, so I will continue with Titanic and Optimus Prime, both versions I hasten to add, and hope that this six week delivery window is short lived on models. I know they do it to cut costs, but my time on earth is precious and I need to see a model coming together quicker. So enjoy the Titanic pic.
  3. Small world Chris, I used to live near there too, I lived in Edgware and Mill Hill and surrounding areas for a fair number of years not as close as you, creepy stuff passing that house. Now live in Surrey near the famous Hampton Court Palace, which is also haunted lol. I'm sure you will love Malignant and I won't spoil it for you. Cheers and enjoy 😁
  4. Hey Chris, yes my elder brother went to see the Exorcist in 1973, I was 12 at time, so too young to see it, but he went to see it in London and there were demonstrations going on from the church goers, telling everyone was cursed who ever entered the Cinema, just a little aside story that I never forget. Anyhow here's some more suggestions for best horror characters to maybe oneday become models or not, but these are amongst some of my favorites movies, there's a very talented Spanish actor called Javier Botet who I believe is 6' 7" and extremely double jointed, he is in a host of horror movies, he played the Demon Mara, he was in Insidious The Last Key, he was Slenderman, and he played The Crooked Man in the Conjuring 2. The Red Faced Demon in Insidious sharpening his nails while listening to Tiptoe thru the Tulips always sticks in my mind. But a model of the Crooked Man, in his purple suit and purple bowler hat with his crooked umbrella, what a model and how articulated it would have to be to mimic Javier playing him, singing "There was a crooked man, who lived in a crooked house" and so on. Mara made me jump, the brilliant director James Wan we have to thank for resurgence of horror IMHO, For characters such as Valek the Demon Nun, films as. The Conjuring, Insidious etc. Going back to days of yore, American Werewolf in London, that scene on the London tube with the guy going up the escalator, and the werewolf in full transition following him up, I couldn't sleep for days after that scene πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. And to cap it all a very recent Horror which again is directed by the brilliant James Wan is Malignant, I never cease to get bored watching it. Old fashioned and modern horror at its best. Cheers guys.🍻
  5. Just for the record guys here's a latest picture of my Titanic standing as she is of today. And today unfortunately I had to give up on the Tumbler, as every six weeks goes by, yes six weeks you have to wait! my patience has grown rather thin, with what you are getting, I know the cockpit has to be built but seriously way too much plastic for my liking and for how much it costs. 6. Now Chris, I loved how you bounced the thread, top move buddy. Lol. Six Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark, the storylines are brilliant and the horror is horror, the one in the hospital gets me, mind you that would take a lot of skin to build it. Also comes to mind whist I'm here is the Hellraiser franchise, Pinhead what a character he was, and in the third I believe you had the CD demon who's head was sliced in CD's, very cool set of movies. To be honest Chris for as long as I been watching horror and I'm happy that you and notsram have an interest too, because we can put our minds together and come up with fab ideas. The ideas out of horror films could be endless. Thank you for your interest Chris and notsram.πŸ‘
  7. A Quiet Place is a brilliant movie notsram.
  8. Thank you Chris and I will go to your thread too and pick out some. I have been a horror fanatic since the 70's and I believe we are in a very tight niche here especially with Agora lol, And though I would love to see these come as models, I believe licensing costs would be astronomical, but down the line I see it happening, because the interest is there amongst us. To your choices, Billy the Puppet another perfect candidate to become a model, I think it would end my nieces staying at my house though lol. I loved the Saw movies, just got a bit much towards the end as they try and milk as much as they can out of it. I have seen Terrifier 1 and that is also a very good movie, and humourous in places too, especially in the diner in the restrooms πŸ˜† Scream franchise also very good πŸ‘, with a mask like that, who could not be scared. Nice choice also which notsram beat me to was Pennywise in Stephen King's It. Well thought out Chris and a long with Leatherface, the choices are endless. πŸ‘
  9. You beat me to IT! notsram lol...like the play on words there? Yes Pennywise would be an ideal candidate for a model. That would be one to wake up in the morning to ahhhhhh! πŸ˜‚
  10. So as we near the day itself, and I know it will only be peeps who love horror who really looks at this, but who's your favorite film horror character of truth or fiction? Wouldn't mind seeing some of them as 1/2 scale models or even full size perish the thought! So I'll start with Freddy Kruger of Wes Craven days gone by, what a character he was, next on my list as he is one scary SOB! is Michael Myers of Halloween fame and kept Jamie Curtis on the major earnings scale lol. Right I'm going to sharpen my blades ready for the day itself, I am your dream as stripey jumper would say. πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸŽƒπŸ‘»πŸ˜±
  11. Very close...so near but like the lottery could be a million miles away ! But Chris who knows eh? I would love to have these two standing side by side.
  12. Yes I'm in close negotiations now for Megatron hahaha 🀣🀣🀣
  13. Have Hachette sold out of Alien Chris? Not long to wait for ET though, also know that Darth Vader is being trialed over here, so that could also be another in the pipeline, I would def go for scale 1/2 Darth Vader.πŸ‘πŸ» Cheers.
  14. Sorry Chris, is it because it Alien takes too long to do on Hachette, because I got kit one thru Hachette.
  15. The quality of this model is phenomenal, I'm halfway thru the build now and have had no reason to say that nothing has been worth it. Each and every pack is so well thought through, the metal in our Optimus is of top quality and sprayed of the highest level, the plastic fibre in the joints is heavy duty and reminds me of bakelite, though it's not of course, it's a well made strong resin mixture to give that full but strong movement. I've been raving I know guys at this model since it's release, but why shouldn't I? With such a quality piece and each pack is like building a separate model, Optimus has to be one of the top releases of 2023, thanks to Agora for having the insight and courage of their business to enter into the realm of Transformers. I'm glad you guys at Pitstain are enjoying the build as much as I am. πŸ‘β˜ΊοΈ
  16. Likewise Gustavo would like to do for you, but way too many miles away in the πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§. There must be some Canadian members or even those members in the USA could help you. Good luck Gustavo. I do hope you get what you need.πŸ‘
  17. The scene was certainly stuff nightmares are made from and she was one bad mama 🫣😱 And that is exactly where it's going to hang. πŸ™‚
  18. Hi Alien & Aliens fans out there. I'm sure you all remember this scene. This interesting piece of 3d sculpture I picked up from the Internet. It's not full size though πŸ˜†
  19. Hi Chris. Yeah it was disappointing not being able to finish T72, it was really strange too, because in the early months, they were just telling me there was a problem on their side with card collection point in Germany, but as time went on they were becoming less and less responsive, until the end when no contact at all, I know how those modellers at Eaglemoss felt too. I already started experimenting aging on my R2 unit giving it a black wash and some rust, quite pleased with already how the newness has come off. Your two Staff's will have a lovely time with R2 I'm sure, hopefully not a mangled mess in the morning Chris lol. Cheers Phil.
  20. Sounds like you had more than enough of Model Space, and I don't blame you for the rant, I suppose I'm holding onto the T72 in hopes of really nothing, so may just do the same and join the graveyard of T72s lol.
  21. Hi Chris, Thank you for uploading and the advice, I'm really used to only aging up dioramas and stuff like that for model scenery. So it's good to know you can afford to make errors and also repair them within a timeframe, I will certainly try those oilbrushes, and plus Chris you are absolutely right about R2, looking weathered looks much more realistic in the sense from R2 in the films, you have done a splendid job buddy. So cheers to you for showing and explaining. Found myself in a busy weekend here with family, not much time. But wanted to let you know Chris its appreciated πŸ‘ Cheers, Phil
  22. Hi guys. Well Chris, they don't seem to want to change at all, it must be their business model and the way they work, I personally believe it only will be a matter of time before they do change, because with the amount of models they releasing, you think they would want to clear their warehouse as soon as. But anyhow thanks for trying again Chris. notsram, we will have to wait to finish our R2-D2 now, you made me laugh when you mentioned R2 on patrol and scaring life out of your cat, coz it reminds me of my brother's dog, she's a Lakeland Terrier, and she is mortal enemy with my Leopard Tank, she growls and barks at it, when I set it into motion and every time they visit, she goes into stalking mode on the Leopard, so I can't wait till she sees R2 in action πŸ˜‚, and thanks to you too for the advice on my badge, I will send our friends a nudge on updating my page, and just one more thing guys, oh that's sounds like Columbo lol. Model Space probably the worst customer service in the world! I'm glad they gone, Model Space done me on my T72 Russian tank, I got right up to issue 10 pack of 12, and they broke off all communication with me, so I have an unfinished T72, which to me was a complete waste of time and money. You guys have a great weekend and happy Modelling, I will be asking you Chris about some of your methods of weathering R2 soon, if you don't mind that is. Cheers guys 🍻 Phil
  23. I did the original hachette build Malcom, I don't remember any problem with the lower deck fitting, stating the obvious, but have you checked that the chassis is true to shape, i.e. square. I remember one of the cross members was slightly bent, but luckily I noticed it before I fit it, and hachette sent me a new piece. Also check the mountings that they are all clean and free from debris, and sometimes it can even be down to the paint be too thick on a certain part. But gentle persuasion should work with the deck, if you can't get any joy here, write to Agora customer services, I'm sure they will help. Phil.
  24. Hi Chris Yeah there's no doubt Wayne Green is a unique kinda guy, what's his phrase? Oh yeah "I make mistakes so that you don't have to" πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I remember watching Wayne when COVID 19 started and we all faced lockdown, that when it really started kicking off for me again in partworks builds, I should be a Agora Elite member as I have completed the Leopard, the Firetruck, and the Zero, I think General Lou has forgotten about me 🀣 lmao. I like to keep in touch with Agora every month if I can through their excellent customer services and they are friendly guys and always helpful and polite. Goes a long way with me does customer service. Anyway I'm rabbiting away, but yes do keep me updated if you hear anything from Fanhomes, so close to finishing R2-D2 yet so far. Cheers Chris. 🍻
  25. Hi Chris. Nice pictures buddy, well done on the weathering, it shows up quite nice. Basically the problems you have encountered in your build is the same as mine, yeah the magazine is terrible for the screw sizes etc, I usually watch World of Wayne a couple of times and hope for the best, my panel where the light saber comes from I had to put another two washers on the pins to raise it above the dome a little, and I also used the metal M3 bolts instead of those plastic things thanks to Wayne. And I asked Fanhomes ages could I buy the remaining issues and they told me they don't cater for this at moment, but they may decide to do something like Agora in future and enable us to get builds together quickly. I'm the same I can't wait to get R2-D2 on the move πŸ˜†. Cheers Chris, it's nice to know we not the only guys going through the little problems that arise.🍻
