  1. A word of advice on pack 12, it is straightforward, but the battery pack you put in Optimus is the one you get with pack 1 and it needs 4 AA batteries, not 2 as stated. Also when you put his arms on the wide fibre plastic piece, just be careful when lifting over Optimus and holding that piece with plenty of support as you attach, working on a flat secure surface is a must for this build as he is very heavy. And lastly be careful too, when plugging in the cables to the PCB boards, they are fragile. And you will also require 2 AAA batteries for the Blaster, and 3 watch batteries for the Axe and 3 Different watch batteries for the Matrix which he holds. Good luck guys, you will have fun! 😊
  2. Chris my friend, I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this build, he looks absolutely gorgeous and a real showpiece, already my family and work colleagues want to see it! Thanks Chris 😁
  3. The remote control holds 2 triple A batteries.
  4. Hi ajacobi. You need to put 4 AA batteries in, otherwise it will not work. When you come to switching it on, switch to on, then press Transformers Head on the remote control. And hopefully away you go. 😊 If I can help I will do my friend.
  5. It's been an enjoyable journey building Optimus, and pack 12 was bumper! For those who have not got to this stage or are coming to it, it does take 4 batteries not 2 as stated in the instructions, in the battery box we got right at Pack 1. I have him wired up with the remote in tandem and everything is working perfectly, one of my favorite model builds of recent years, and I don't exaggerate. So for you some pictures with his lights, he talks, there's Transformers music from days of old lol, it has turned out to be my TOP model, and boy is he heavy! If it does happen Agora, I still would love to have Megatron, side by side, what a amazing pair of large scale models they would make. Well that has been a well spent good few hours, and I not built his weapons yet 🀣 A few extra pics of Optimus in the dark. πŸ˜±πŸ‘» Spooky! πŸ˜‰
  6. Thank you Chris, very nice of you to say so. The stand will be in future, I will try and do some night shots, as long as I don't spoil it for others. And Chris yes mate I'm over the moon with Optimus, he is worth his salt. Thanks again Chris. And Cheers!

  8. Yes Chris, it will be good to get it done at last 🀞 They took the wonga quick too 🀣 Here's waiting for the final parts. Cheers Chris 🍻
  9. πŸ˜‡ Lovely work on pack 10 Delphine! You can really feel Optimus growing in stature and to really know he is going to be one very mighty model. Hope you enjoyed pack 10 Delphine, take care πŸ’―πŸ‘Œ
  10. Yes Chris I'm fine thank you, and I hope you are too and good to hear from you as well. Do you know Chris what I don't understand is, we have been subscribed to R2-D2 for these two years plus, and yet when it comes to issues 99-100, they haven't got any! How on earth did they get into that situation, it is either terrible mismanagement, or they don't want to admit that when a lot of people got to the last two stages finding their R2 unit not working properly, could had been people making mistakes with wiring or the such, but then they write to FH saying it's not working, "Send me those two issues again", because what I don't fathom is how in the hell are they short of all these issues for all of us, that are left in limbo here waiting as long as 5 months or more? This better not go the way it happened with MS, it really is testing my faith in partworks models and in FH πŸ€¬πŸ˜‘πŸ‘Ώ However I still believe them at this time, if this is being a bit green, I don't know, but there's proof in the phrase "Once Bitten Twice Shy" I will of course Chris keep you informed too if I hear anything, you'll hear it here first. Cheers buddy 🍺
  11. I been waiting since early January for the last 2 issues of R2-D2 as you know Chris, and I was hoping you may well had some good news, but to the contrary it's the exact opposite. I was discussing just last month about my concerns and is it the case that FH have taken on too much? We both discussed it Chris and I believe we reluctantly agreed that is the case. At this moment in time things are very concerning, and I have been writing to FH every two weeks, same old answers every time, ' We understand your concerns,' especially with the way I and many others was bitten by M Space and the demise of Eaglemoss, it doesn't bode well, and what can we do about it? Absolutely nothing! We just hope they are being genuine with us and open and honest, because what I don't understand is, how come me and you and many others have come this far on R2-D2 yet they have problems procuring the last two issues, in any business you think their plan would had those last two issues for us that are in the same boat, because we have done 98 issues without a hitch so far, πŸ˜” I'm sorry, I don't understand how they have made such a error in amongst releasing model after model recently. So far they have done nothing to allay my fears. Chris for my and your sake and others in this situation, things will work out I do hope. Cheers.
  12. If I saw that before my dear friend Delphine, I would had been able to help you. But you are okay now.
  13. Delphine, well done my friend! You're the best doctor for our Optimus in the world! 🌎 Yes the height adjusters are a fine addition to this beautiful model. Now you can proceed Delphine πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‰
  14. Aww you'll have to send him to Optimus Ospital 🀣🀣. Let's hope he can get the best surgery given, seriously though I really hope you can sort his health out...poor old Optimus, if Megatron finds out he is sick, he'll make a move on Optimus πŸ˜† Nice to speak to you again Delphine 😊
  15. How are you progressing Delphine with Optimus? He sure is one heavyweight! ☺️
  16. I'd like to add Pitstain Hobbies, that for me personally the wrench is a better choice, especially for guys like me who have a touch of Arthritis in the fingers. Even with that in mind, still fiddly. But you are so right, a lot easier. I also used oil too on the pins. It was really only the centre part with the tab on, that was offering any resistance. You're doing a fine job Mr Pitstain.
  17. Yes I did the same my friend, I did the same too on the Leopard, building the tracks. Well done!
  18. Optimus sends you his thanks BIZZIO πŸ˜…. I almost felt like Wayne of WoW, you know "I make mistakes so that you don't have to" Now Optimus looks symmetrical which must had been the nagging thought πŸ’in my head that something is off! Cheers again BIZZIO πŸ‘€πŸ»
  19. BIZZIO. Thank you my friend do you know I been looking at him and thinking πŸ€” something don't look kinda right, and I was trying to suss out what it was. πŸ˜‚ What a mistake to make! Thank you for pointing it out BIZZIO. Cheers I owe you a round my friend! πŸ˜‰
  20. Thanks Chris 😁 I forgot to add, it probably kept me occupied for a good 4 hrs, could have been longer even, one of the lengthier stages 🀭, but worth spending every minute on. Hope you doing good Chris. Cheers 🍻
  21. Well it really is the last but one pack of Optimus Prime, it has gone so quick! Building his spinal cord backbone, was straightforward enough, but you do have to make sure your spinal parts are facing the right way, for anyone that has not got to this stage yet. Very interesting putting this pack together, much as much when tackling his hips, and do make sure you have a well magnetized screwdriver as there is some distance to go for at least two screws, you do get one spare for that. His height increases with this pack too obviously πŸ˜‚, all his wheels are on plus the fuel tanks, and there is some intricate detailing on most of these parts, and more metal mania. Remote control is built which you see atop my Prime, and there is a tray of parts for last pack including the Blaster and the Matrix.
  22. That's cool notsram! Nice one πŸ˜€ πŸ€žπŸ‘
  23. Well firstly they told me as stated in an earlier post, that it was issue 99, was sold out and gone, but they did order new ones, when I don't know! But I'm sure they are working on it! But you and me have been done by Model Space before, and MS and Deagostini and Fanhome are basically same company. And quite a lot of people in the modelling community are aware, so I just wonder if Fanhome have taken on too much. And as for the collapse of Eaglemoss, that was due to having too many models running all at once, so it's not impossible for it to happen again. I sure hope not in saying that 😜. Just get a little edgy with what's happened before. On bright side, I will keep badgering them till I get them, but I don't want them now saying they linking it to the Red Sea troubles. I quite confident though we will get R2 finished. And I'll drink to that!🍻
  24. Not the best of starts to any model run really notsram, even though as discussed before, this is not of the fault of Fanhomes. But with such a huge catalogue of models now, and pressures rising worldwide on shipping, it makes you wonder how they'll cope. I'm sure everything will fall in place and come together okay.
  25. Yes hopefully you'll have no problem, but this is what we predicted for Fanhome just a few months ago, with such a huge choice of models now, there is bound to be issues arising, and I know this actual issue is not Fanhome fault, but have they taken on too far much from the Defunct Eaglemoss, only time will tell, but they must have warehouse full of different models now. As for R2-D2 Chris, nothing at all, I'm still badgering them every two weeks and they keep on telling me the same thing...'Thank you for you patience', not exactly the answer I was hoping for. And I only want 99-100. πŸ˜•
