I am very impressed with the video and your wiring skills. Great work. I wonder if someone offers micro plug sextension cords that will bring the wires out of the model to a controller? Their likely is a source.

yes you can get pre wired jst plugs on ebay exactly like the ones used on model in 2/3/4 wire configurations right up to 10 wires i used 2 wire jst plugs to extend all my switches

I thought i would share these modifications ive made to the electronics on my bus i wasn't really happy with the function buttons in the cab apart from being tiny and fragile they're difficult to get to with fingers and also run the risk of failing if pressed too many times so i decided to use some external mini momentary push buttons i got off ebay

there is quite a bit of room underneath the stairs and as i had already decided to move the battery compartment outside the bus ( making battery changes easier also ) i used that extra room i drilled 6 x 7mm holes for 5 push buttons and a on/off/on mini toggle switch i made some little JST plug extensions wiring in the buttons and then plugging the wires from horn, brake pedal, cab light running lights and destination lights meaning when i pressed each button it connected the relevant button from the cab the toggle switch was used to make the indicators work left front and rear and right front and rear ( see my post on using 0805 SMDs to run the front indicators ) if i move the toggle left nearside indicators flash and switching right operates the right side middle position is off ive also made a small sound box but i will make a separate post for that hope that explains everything enjoy the videos i made

Does anybody know how many switch wires including the brake pedal go to the circuit board

I intend to extend them to be operated outside the bus

Its either 5 or 6 unless someone who has finished the hachette version can tell me the definitive answer

I can't help with the count but love the plan. I wish the controls could be via a remote controller for all the models. And a remote power source to model so batteries don't get left inside to cause future inevitable damage. Handling the model, opening display case to show off the electrics is not something I wish to do .

  4. I am pleased to announce that my second wheel is going much smoother than the first. Painting the wide slots carefully with flat black paint is a must for builders that use headlamps. It breaks the blinding reflection on the chrome area. I do love the wheels when finished.

It would prove helpful if the supplier could provide  a spare spoke in each bag as they do screws. They spokes can be easy to lose especially when the builder has pets invading his work area.

My left rear hub and hood pins snapped as well. Along with many others apparently, I would recommend that metal would be better for these parts. I glued the wheel hub back on, so it is now an entirely static display.

I replaced my hood pins with brass rods ,drilled for the safety wires and chrome paint marked the pieces. The safety pins are now fabricated from chrome painted brass wire. I should have done this mod before even trying the supplied plastic pieces. The plastic is too fragile. The rods are super glued after fitting.

  7. Pack 5 Jaguar XKE is late as well. I hope that as soon as the Packs arrive to Agora they will ship to us. I don't want to wait a month if it is not necessary.I can't believe the manufacturer is able to keep up with all the new model being offered. Other makers are years behind on their new single offerings. I wrote support but did not ask the flex date wish.

As it turns out. The steering column shaft was not in the correct position. I had to take it apart and set it in there correctly.

I will look into the column on mine. The shaft doesn't want to center in the column and throws the the steering wheel off. I also have the d door issue.
