While I've finally settled for the kit labels I did think about getting others made.  What I'd really like to do is get something for the back panel between the indicator lights and also either side of the rear destination display.  The two corner ads at the front are none too inspiring either for that matter and something along the lines of the 'Union Jack' ones on the Revell 1:24 kit might look good.  I don't use facebook but I know a place that can probably do them.  I get stickers for my (full size) car made by them, but I haven't been able to find a picture of a rear advertisement that I like.  I can do my own artwork.  Do you have any suggestions?  I'd like something familiar; 'British Airways' for instance.

to be honest i don't really know i didn't put any advertisement stickers on my bus inside or out as i wanted mine to reflect the actual restored WLT857 bus as it is now see pics my best advise just google routemaster bus advertising

    Hello,

there's still something going on. I don't want to leave it that empty.

I don't like the kit ads. I don't know if that existed but I drive a Royal Enfield and want to run the bus with this as an advertisement.

The model of my Enni is already in front of my Routemaster 😉

there is a guy on facebook who makes the advertising stickers he will print up whatever you want and it's not expensive i read about it on this forum a bit back

Thank you.  I've changed the main photos above for the original images and added the magazine and umbrella.

The magazine also serves to hide the back of the stair light which shone brightly over the back seat!

If I were to build it again I'd probably dim the brightness of the off-side parking light and add an LED in the nearside one.  I was also wondering if it'd be feasible to replace the front destination blind with parts from the rear one.  The rolling blind is a neat trick but the lighting is very disappointing.

the magazine over the stairwell is a clever idea i covered mine with paint matching colour of stairwell to block light bleed from the led

Not that I plan to build either but I have this picture of Agoras classic  bus next to the Eiffel Tower being offered by IXO. I realize one is London and the other Paris but both are icons.🙂

cliff richard drove a routemaster to France in the film Summer Holiday can't remember if he took it round the Eiffel tower or not but i wouldn't be surprised lol

Natürlich kann ich den Übersetzer benutzen, aber alle anderen können das auch...

Oder haben Sie Englisch sprechende Menschen ein Recht auf Ihre Sprache?

Ist das Schreiben auf Englisch hier im Forum eine Regel?

In any case, I have set up my computer in such a way that every page is displayed in my language, i.e. German.

google translate is easy to use i just copied and pasted your words easy peasy also it's somewhat rude to expect everyone regardless of their native language to speak English you should feel free to express your thoughts in German

google translate ist einfach zu bedienen ich habe gerade deine
worte kopiert und eingefügt kinderleicht auch ist es etwas
unhöflich zu erwarten, dass jeder unabhängig von seiner
muttersprache englisch spricht du solltest dich frei fühlen deine
    gedanken auf deutsch auszudrücken

Yes just glue. I used 2 part epoxy and screwed the panels in place (every second or third screw) when set I removed the screws and then attached the styrene strip (prepainted) using cyanoacrylate. Way easier than I thought it would be. The 1/2 rounds on the roof were the trickiest as the didn't want to bend so much so I used a heat gun to decrease the stress on the glue. I had to be careful not to melt the model windows. If I was doing it again I would make a form and form each roof rib before painting and applying to the model.

i thought maybe that would be the way still a massive task what paint did you use ? it's a perfect match

  10. So I thought I would share my bus display case I made unfortunately as you can see in the attached pictures it didn't quite go as I had hoped you can see there is a glue residue on the edges that I joined this was because I used masking tape to hold together the 2 pieces I was gluing on the outside of the join unfortunately I hadn't realised that the glue would wick through the join and underneath the tape I'm going to try and buff the residue off with foam polishing pads and t cut if that doesn't work I will re make the case except I will use a jig to hold the 2 pieces of perspex at a 90 deg angle without touching the joined edge but will wait and see if I can buff glue Marks out however it was a good practice run and I'm happy how the case fits and looks and if I have to re do it I know it will be perfect if anyone wants to know where I bought my 5mm pre cut perspex let me know happy to share
