stage 93, fitting the roof liner and attaching the front body

Recommended Posts

Stage 93 leads off a large pack 12. We start with the drivers rear view mirror.

Start by placing the "mirror sticker" onto the rear view mirror. Then attach the mirror to the base.

Next, using the roof liner, attach the mirror and both the sun visors.

Next, attach the roof liner to the main body. You'll need 4x FM screws to secure the liner to the roof of the main body, as well as 2 EM screws for the front of the liner.

Now, ypu'll need the windscreen lower frame trim piece. This is held in place with 3 DM screws.

To round out the roof liner, you'll need to install the left and right internal panels to the A pillar on the main body. These are secured with 1 DM screw each.

The next step is a big one! The front body and the main body are paired up.

Start by mounting the left and right body supports to the main body. These are secured with 2 CM screws per side.

To mount the front body, start by removing the MOT and E cables. Then position the front body onto the main body. There is a bit of a snap fit to the front body where is sits on the main body under the windscreen. Then secure the front portion to the main body with 6 CM screws. (3 per side)

The next to last steps are to install the side skirt mounts to the body. These are held in place with 2 DM screws. I found it helpful to pre-thread the screw holes and to lubricate the threads on the DM screws.

Lastly, we will be replacing the circuit board with an updated replacement board. Simply unplug (CAREFULLY!!) the wires, unscrew the old board, and install the new board. Then replace the cables in their designated sockets. IMG_7614.jpg.4ffaae38dc44b77f55c39a958d9c520d.jpg
