Definitely love to see more commercial vehicles in 1/12 scale buses and wagons i think there would be lots of interest

I started the Eddie Stobart on Hachette but couldn't commit to 2 and a half years wait so I'm going to wait for Agora to bring it out if they do

Hi julian have you made a start on doing this little side light ? i took my panel apart today put some chrome paint in dish behind lens but i was stalled as the 1.8mm led bulb and wire which i hoped was going to fit is just too thick even if i get the dremel out and grind a groove im not sure i can create enough space for the led and wire for the panels to come together without bulging or breaking through the panel so ive ordered some tiny and thin pre wired white smd leds from china £2.50 for 20 compared to £6 for 1 in uk granted it will take couple of weeks to arrive but got 4 and half weeks before pack 7 arrives if you haven't made a start or haven't got led sorted don't bother i will send you some of these smds when they arrive

I'm doing the advert box on the lower saloon I'm changing the Heater control and putting it in the original place. I ordered some adverts from that guy on ebay

  3. I would love it if Agora Bring out a DMS Fleetliner bus, these where one of the first and most popular OMO buses in London Loved these buses it would be great to build one with their detail they even had a Turnstile to speed up passenger loading some had a device called a Jonson box on flat fare routes it was a glass box where the passenger dropped their coins in (no change given) and the driver pressed a lever and the money droped in to a small safe. There was a lot of fiddling i bet plenty of cups of tea.....another favorite bus of mine. A MCW Metrobus or a Leyland Titan bus would also be great to Model. Would anyone else build this classic bus???? Or would you like to build an RT like to hear your thoughts.......

i can confirm sunstars are 1/24 scale i have 3 of them lol and definitely not a bad price shame you can't 3D print one to correct size

I was at the Alexandra Palace Model railway exhibition last week and there was a stall that done 3D printing they even done Models of yourself in all scales wish I'd asked him.

I almost ordered that Bus stop but then realised it was 1:24 scale shame. I wonder if we could get away with it but there are no measurements wish I knew what size it was. Nice though

I found this in the Haynes manual, I guess this is just an earlier version of the heater.

it's bizarre how they pay so much attention to some details and not others someone at hachette cocked up in the planning stage

I know it's a shame. Very disappointing but the overall model is brilliant.

  9. I am really disappointed with this part of the build. The heater control is totally wrong I have never seen a RM with the heater control positioned horizontal up the top where a advert was positioned. And the real RMs had it positioned vertical in the middle of both panes of glass. I was hoping to place an advert there but even if I did there is a big bump and it will cover the heater control.

    Looks so unrealistic

  10. Mine are the same as yours. They don't touch the ceiling there's about 4mm gap. Don't worry it won't be a problem just do a test make sure all bulbs work don't be tempted to try them the other way round or you'll snap the pins. Once mine worked OK I used a small dab of glue to hold the bulbs in place. Thought I show you this a RM tow truck and a RM open top lol he's done a pretty good job at covering it

So im not a fan of those big rear hub covers for the rear wheels and as Julian pointed out to me they were used mostly on the RT's and not the RM's ..( correct me if im wrong ) but either way i don't particularly like them but i also wasn't keen on leaving those rear hubs open showing the black screw and silver washer, i mulled over this for a while until i thought "i wonder if i could cut down those useless rear hub covers so they fit better"... unfortunately i don't have a lathe,  believe me a little hobby one is on my wish list,  so i improvised with a cordless drill, a vice and a zip tie,  throw in a 1/2 inch chisel and a block of wood and i had my makeshift lathe,  stuck the hub in the drill,  set it going and it worked,  i pared both hubs down in no time,  i finished them off with an emery board and cut off the redundant shaft with a junior hacksaw whilst still in the drill leaving about 6mm of shaft left pared off the 4 raised lugs with a scalpel and then coated in liquid chrome and left to dry

can't fit them yet as rear wheels still need to come off for fixing lower saloon but soon as i will add a pic showing how they look but i thought i would share my method with some pics

you know i thought something was off when i was looking at it but it didn't click till you just pointed that out that's very odd you're right maybe it was a mistake from tech drawings or something

I think they got that from a RT they were like that. Same with the wheel covered on the rear they where on the RTs not RMs. But still a great model. My clippies getting a bit inpatient lol

yeah that red and green wire was very obvious lol i copied you re that little silver vent down at bottom of front saloon panel i find it really odd they put so much detail in like the heater control at front off saloon but then don't finish the slider black it's strange must admit this forum is handy for sharing tips

Looks good mate. Its funny I have never seen a horizontal heater control slider they have always been vertical I have replaced the bell pull to
