  1. I haven't the model yet (I'll buy it the day the full kit is available) but I'm already doing some research on details to improve and I found this decal which comes on the black recipient of the FISPA fuel filter. Copy and paste it, use decal paper for your printer and the job's done! It will be a nice touch in that engine bay!

This FISPA filter was a common part on many other cars such as the Mercedes WI96R and 300SL. for instance, but the Mercedes ordered these filters unpainted and unlabelled... cheeky!

I have such a filter on one of my cars and the bolts are dark (they're steel obviously) and the cover is made of zamac or aluminium. There's also a little metal ID plate on it... check it out with Google "Filtro FISPA combustibile"...

This is detail is obligatory on the Miura! You can see it on Corwyn's picture (which is a beautiful build btw).

    Good luck!

  2. That's the absolute dream motorcycle! The Vincent comes close but the Brough is the King! I hesitated to buy the 1:6 scale model (Minchamps?) that came out a few years ago. They show up on Ebay from time to time but I have the 1/18th model to drool over! MFH is absolutely stunning, but I don't know if I have te skills to tackle such a model. Congrats to you, it looks extremely real!!

  3. Never thought I'd mention this... but these wheels are way too beautiful!!!!

Originally they're painted, not chromed, but I'd hesitate to take these rims a step back and spray paint such beautiful parts.

Maybe with a 2nd set of wheels... if only Agora would sell everything separately. It would add great opportunities to diorama building and displays. A race car always comes with a set of spares... tires, wheels, oil cans, tools...

I read this kit contains two sets of rims: the intricate ones, and simplier photo etched ones...

    Now that opens some possibilities....🤔

Nice 1:8 scale figures of Stirling Moss, Fangio, Mechanics etc.... must be easy to do with a 3d scanner , printer and whatever high tech things that exists today.

  4. It looks amazing!!! If it was mine I'd try to ad the missing air tube between the Fiamm compressor and the air horns.

It's a simple red plastic tube coming out on top of the compressor, a bit further down the line there's a Y piece and from that Y part two red tubes to each air horn. And also on top of the compressor, there's a little red plastic flap to add oil into the compressor.

While writing this I realise It's easier said than done, as this mod has to be on par with the beautiful quality of this model.

  5. And what would be great is if Agora worked with these 1930's  models just like it was done in the 30's.

Back then you could order a rolling chassis which was delivered only with dashboard and hood/bonnet and then your bodyshop like Hooper, Pinin Farina, d'Ieteren or whatever made a body for it.

Agora could do the same... The Bentley would be a good start. The rolling Bentley chassis could be delivered as such and then you could choose among different bodies, ranging from Blowers, to Open Top Tourers etc...

  6. Does someone know when or if the Miura wick be available in Europe? Since the UK left Europe, the import tax for Belgium is :

the price of the model + Import fee (don't know how much...) + 21% import fee + a check of the package by the customs.

When in customs, they open it with risk of damage/loss and it can stay in there for weeks... and that for each part !!!   Less hassle with a full kit then but it is a real PIA to buy outside Europe.

Agora, help us out here please!!!!

  7. That's correct. The Agora prototype must have power windows ( then these switches must be present on the centre console )... but everything is already made to function with the wrong handle.

Great if Agora can fix it, but it doesn't bother me very much I must say.

I guess I'll never "play" with such models anyway, too afraid to break something.

  8. Just found this...

Weight scales, but not in quite the way you imagine.

a 1/10th car is 1/10th of the length. It is also 1/10th of the width and 1/10th of the height.

If you took ten of your toy cars and laid them end to end they would be as long as your real car, but still 1/10th the width and 1/10th the height. So we would need 100 cars in ten rows of ten to be the same length and width, and 1000 toy cars to be the same length, width and height.

So your 1/10th size car, if it were made from the same materials as the real car, would be 1/1000th the weight.

  9. What is the correct formula then to check the size?

To make it simple, should a car be 8m long (it is a very very long car...🤑), then a 1/8 scale model of this car would be 8m divided by 8, which gives a model of  1m long. Or am I wrong?

  10. Just watched the video about the Split Window Corvette!

Thank you AGORA for this model and it's very nice to have added the 1964 Turbine wheels which look so amazing on this model... (but get the missing window handle right.. the handle shown and used in the video to roll up or down the window is, on the real car, for the quarter window...) But I don't care, it"s a detail, and I'll order the Corvette when the Miura is built and finished.

😍 That is absolutely fabulous what you achieved with these modifications!!!! (and when I see the original parts, I'm a bit  disappointed to see such shortcuts on a model this size)

What are the loudspeakers? They are fantastic! Will you use these instead of the sound module?

The website selling sound modules (on which you can record up to 9 different sounds) is partworkupgrades.com

  12. About that missing sound or bad sound module... I've seen a website (I'll find it again) which sells sound modules on which you can record your own sound samples and play it back via speakers...  I'll build the Miura, and the sound this car makes goes right through your spine... that's why I want a good quality sound. I'll try to make a detailed article somewhere on how to do this.

These large models are a visual treat for the eyes and I'd like to add realistic sound for the ears and even smell for the nose (oil and fuel...) and THAT will make our hearts beat even faster 😜!
