  1. Use rubbing compound to flatten the paint and repolish to obtain a nice finish..?
  2. The rear "platform" on which the rear body part is fixed with the hinges has to be really well fixed. On my car the rear body part (what is the correct denomination?? rear clamshell, engine cover??) has play which makes it impossible to close nicely without horrible gaps! I will take everything apart (again) to fix this part properly using the correct screws AND GLUE, to ensure it will stay solidly fixed over time. By doing so you will have no gaps and perfect fit.
  3. I replaced the broken electric wires on the pedals. Now the brake-lights a working, and when the accelerator is pushed in the engine sound works too. You can rev the engine, but the "sound module" is not on par with the quality of the model. The sound is hardly audible while it should scream like hell! I also rebuild the system to activate the horn and lights. All worked well, I could feel the lever activate the contacts (it's a little "click" you can hear), but it doesn't seem to work.... And then I lost the f... key!
  4. One pack a month for 24 months. Depending on what model, there are several options.
  5. Anyway, whatever colour, it suits me. If available in full kit it couldn't be too hard to respray the body in a different colour.
  6. I love the Bug too, even if the purple-ish colour choice is weird... A black one would be great.
  7. I fixed the bonnet and rear scuttle... panel gap is really not good. The hinges, on the front and rear, are flimsy and with some play, but that doesn't explain why the fit is not good. If the body was black one wouldn't notice, but on a yellow car it looks bad. How am I going to solve that?🤫
  8. Fuel pumps removed to detail them. Top of shock absorber is loose. Carbs are not fitted correctly as fuel lines are one inside, one outside
  9. Well it arrived today! And it is exactly as I hoped it would be. It arrived with two beautiful "Miura" binders containing all the issues from 1 up to 100. There's also a 1/24 Miura model, a Miura key fob, a Miura bag and 3 large posters to promote the Hachette partwork and a little bag containing all the little bits and pieces, lots of bags with screws and spare parts! Perfect!!!! The car was apparently exposed, everything open and without a protective case, so it's dirty and dusty. I already started to clean, no problem here. The build quality is so and so but as everything can be taken apart, it's just a matter of disassembling and rebuilding. The loose windscreen is not broken or anything, it's just loose! I was worried about that, but thanks to this kit being very well designed, I can easily fix it. The tail lights are fixed, the eye lashes also so that's good also. Then I started to dismantle it. By doing so I noticed that superglue was used, leaving a white film over some parts. The Bertone logo is misaligned and the BERTONE tag is glued upside down, the door locks and handle are not fully flush with the body... nothing to worry about. The panel gaps on the other hand might be an issue. Once I got the rear and front body parts off, I started to detail it a bit here and there. Under the carbs I used Chinese ink to blacken the gaskets and the rocker covers were painted black! I prefer it this way as otherwise there's way too much 'silver" to look at. And the nice chromed acorn nuts come to life! The Lamborghini logo on the hood is dead... it's completely ruined by that glue, so I'll have to find a new one on Ebay. Pics will follow.
  10. Thanks for the info. I saw a video on YT how to fix the windscreen. It's all with pieces of self adhesive tape. I'll have to scrape it off and replace these strips with sthg else...
  11. The yellow fan blades, the black rocker covers... they're a nice touch! It highlights the details and gives more realism! How is the windscreen fixed? Glued?
  12. On the video above it seems: - the Lamborghini logo on the "hood" or bonnet seems too thick.. - panel gaps are wrong - rear lights look weird - eyelashes missing - windscreens out of sync - is the Bertone logo on the side not a bit out place? - wiring in the trunk is visible while I guess it should be hidden - anything else?? There's also another issue I'd like to correct (to wish and to do are different things...): The lack of shades!!!! The engine, wheels and discs etc they all have only two colours : Black and silver while in reality it has a myriad of different shades. "Wish" I could solve this... Thanks for mentioning whatever you notice that looks wrong on this model that on its way to ME!!!! 😍😍😍😍
  13. Looks quite right... I noticed on YouTube many Miura's (same as built here) share the same panel gap problems.. Probably clearing issues between the mechanics and the body panel. It promises to be quite a ride!!!
  14. Ha, super, moi je suis en Belgique (une fois... 😆) Si jamais un modèle qui vous est commercialisé en B et pas en F je pourrais vous aider! J'ai trouvé cette video de la Miura en question. Just found this video of this Miura on YouTube..
  15. Thanks amigos! I'll keep you all posted here, but first it needs to arrive here. Fingers crossed! With the Post Office you never know what will happen, there's always a part of luck involved... Corwyn34, êtes-vous en France?
  16. Bonjour François, Avez-vous terminé la Miura? Etes-vous en France?
  17. Today I bought a Hachette Miura on Ebay France... The price was "do-able" as the model has some flaws: - loose windscreen - electronics not working due to broken wiring at the pedals - eyelashes not mounted - panel fit looks weird ... - hope it arrives.... without too much damage... Once its here I will first examine it and then "unbuilt" it carefully starting with issue 100 until it's in 3 main parts : front - cabin - rear compartment! Plan is to fix the flaws, do some detailing, and rebuild it! Can't wait to start this project. As soon as I have it I'll post other pics. These are from Ebay
  18. Hi Corwyn34, I'm following your build as well as Marks and I was wondering how the electronic part works... Is there a way you can test each "electronic" step? It would be hell to find out in the end something is not working, as this means you have to leave it that way or dismantle the whole model again. I guess an electronic tester can be a solution, but I'll have to find out how to use it properly...
  19. Drool drool then 😆. If so it would be an impressive model. Do you think it's do-able for AGORA to offer two versions. of the Aston Martin? One is the James Bond car, the other a standard car. It wouldn't need much modifications... 98% of the parts are common to both models.
  20. Hi guys, I received this mail from Agora with the latest news and this overview was included. I'm waiting to order the Miura as a "full kit" and does this means we are almost there...? Too bad I'll have to pay all the import duties and VAT (I live in Belgium) above the steep selling price. Any ideas how to avoid these extra costs?
  21. The Miura was fitted with Ansa exhausts and a specific chrome end. Other pics are Ferruccio's Lamborghini private car exposed in the Lamborghini museum in Italy.
