Halloween Favourites of the Cinema!
Christopher Christou replied to Phil's topic in Non-Agora models
Yeah a quiet place part 2 was pretty good but the 1st one edged it for me too! I'm going to check amazon prime and see if I can get it. Do you think it would have been edited or censored though due to the ban? Ahh Blair witch,to be fair I watched it when I was like 12 in the dark at home downstairs alone.wasnt too bad initially but that final scene freaked me out!!scary for its time๐ -
Random thread here, just wondering what people thoughts are on these builds (quality, problems, fun factor, mods ect) as I can't decide what I want to do next. I really like both ๐ง but can only afford 1 build from them in my next subscription. Anyone built both?

Ahh I see now, thankyou for explaining this๐ Now I know what to look for if anyone says they have orange peel. Yeah I'm torn between the 2.shelby cobra is so nice and it's my dream to own one 1 day.but I love the routemaster and all its features like interior lighting and the sheer size of it is (chefs kiss)๐ What to do...๐ค Thanks again laverdj

Big, solid and articulated !!
Christopher Christou replied to BIZZIO's topic in Photos/images of Optimus Prime models
Hey Marco It really is impressive the scale.of this model.from your pictures I can see that it's bigger than I thought! Nothing but good reviews from this build so far.well done agora!๐ Transformers was before my time and I don't have a special connection with it. Even though optimus looks awesome in so many ways I'm more of a power rangers dude lol -
You mentioned the orange peel paint too earlier, have you got a picture to show me? Do you mean the paint work is peeling off or the colour of the paint is orange peel? Kind regards Chris

Fair play to you, being an experienced builder you sure know what your doing with the models๐its good to hear the cobra was flawless!I'm thinking that might be my next build (maybe the routemaster,I like that too) Now I have seen your pic I do see your frustration. How does this happen!?they test and build all these models before releasing them to us customers then your halfway through a build and the part is not sitting correctly. I hope you manage to get the panel lined up correctly, that would bug me too. I'm hoping when you take it apart you find out what causing it to be out of line. It's just annoying you have to do this in the first place..

Halloween Favourites of the Cinema!
Christopher Christou replied to Phil's topic in Non-Agora models
Wow didn't realise it had that kind of reaction.๐ฒI mean for 1992 it must of been really dark for it to be in the papers. I'm intrigued now, regardless of it being a bit dated I think I will try and see if I can find it. Thanks for the info notsram๐ -
Halloween Favourites of the Cinema!
Christopher Christou replied to Phil's topic in Non-Agora models
Hey Notsram Seeing exorcist in cinema must of been epic, its just so classic and the tubular bells theme will always give me chills. Love the film also๐ค Glad you enjoyed a quiet place,it is a really good idea and is very tense in places.let us know what you think of part 2 when you get round to it. Interesting about ghost watch, what year did it come out?I've never seen it but might have a look. -
That is a shame you have had problems with the build, same as a few others on here as well.glad you got it sorted๐ Although I'm not building the Lambo I've found with Agora models that you have to Improvise and add a washer/different screw/maybe glue/file certain bits to fit properly. I have had to do this on terminator and leopard tank...there is always something that doesn't fit perfectly. Being a perfectionist I want the model to be the best it can be so can be frustrating when things don't go as planned...
-
Yes having the same problem, but luckily i have enough spare tracks so im able to discard the faulty ones. You can sometimes get them through the holes with more oomph or a tap of a hammer but then It can cause it to be too tight with no wriggle room. Did you manage to get more tracks and/or fix the issue?

Cheers nando,I'll check out your YouTube page and see what you have been up to! Nice work๐

Small world indeed!I know mill hill and Edgware quite well. Same as you left the mad house rat race in north London in 2014 after graduating uni and now live in suffolk. Suits me perfect, apart from some family and good friends i don't miss the hustle and bustle of London at all. -

I lived one Road down from the conjuring enfield case (green street)from 2004-2010 .๐ฑI used to walk past that house to go to school and college on a daily basis haha ah american werewolf, now that's another classic, defo up there with the best! Haven't seen Malignant, one for the list, will give it a watch now Halloween is nearly here๐ Have a great weekend guys Cheers ๐ -
Fanhome on a roll! E.T!!!!
Christopher Christou replied to Christopher Christou's topic in Non-Agora models
The titanic is coming together very well, nice work.๐looks nice with the bismark behind too! Can't be much left to go with your titanic now?how many more issues? Sorry to hear about the job and financial constraints ๐ but its better being more comfortable with the 2 optimus and titanic builds than stretching the extra funds towards the tumbler also. I recall you saying you were getting fed up with the tumbler with the 6 week waiting for delivery and also that it's not that exciting, loads of plastic ect. You still have 3 builds coming along very nicely so enjoy it!๐ค -

Halloween Favourites of the Cinema!
Christopher Christou replied to Phil's topic in Non-Agora models
You said it Phil with horror being a niche genre. Wish there was more love for it๐ Licensing issues would be a big risk for agora like you say but if there is enough interest then we might get our wish one day. Glad to know you have been a horror buff since the 70s. 70s and 80s had some of the best horror films in my opinion,my uncle said he saw the exorcist in the cinema when it released and said it was so bad they had ambulances outside because people were passing out loooool๐คฃ๐คฃ. yeah saw has had a few meh entries but i saw the recent one saw X in the cinema and it was really good.they changed things up a bit and its the first time you see jigsaw vulnerable which was a nice take๐ Great thread Phil, nice to chat about common interests with agora forumists. -

IT is awesome and I like the new movies but Tim curry IT was my favourite.๐ But the new school It would make a better model.those details on his face are insane!the teeth are also extreme when he morphs into a more extreme IT๐ฑ A quiet place is a great movie, defo worth a watch.interesting idea with not being able to make a single sound otherwise your dead pretty much. second one not so much but still not too bad. -
