I'm so surprised at the scale!his legs alone are huge and I think the size when he's done makes him a real show piece! Can't wait to see him when you get your last pack😀. Hey Phil I totally get the feeling of when you finish a model.it's kinda bittersweet.😀😌when I finished terminator I was so glad he was complete and it was awesome but the bitterness was knowing that he was done I wouldn't be working on him anymore after spending so many hours putting him together over a year or so. It was done and all I could think about was what can I build next to get that feeling of accomplishment and excitement of each bit coming together to form this big scale model.. You described it perfect! it's melancholic and I'm sure you will experience it again when optimus is done! It's awesome your r2 is weathered,it's really going to make him pop when you have him on display (after the fun of using him, chasing the dogs around the house,tinkering with the saber and hearing him whistle haha) The laser blast would look really kool,you should give it a shot.(pardon the pun lol) Been real good to chat to you too phil. Nice to have a lot in common here on the forum,also your enthusiasm for the hobby is great especially with how many models you have done and are doing. Can't wait to see your R2!! Cheers 🍻

Only 4 packs left with leopard now,might ask agora to send them in one go as I'm getting impatient now haha.it's looking great so far though.I've finished all the tracks and the wheels on both sides.going to be fun getting the tank moving though and on-board camera too! Ah I'm jealous your 2 issued away from finishing him!!😃 I'm receiving packs 91-94 this month so won't be done till March 😞 Really happy you chose to weather him too,can't wait to see the pics,bet they are awesome!!! Hey Phil I had a look at world of Wayne building the Lancaster bomber.it looks huge!but from reading the comments people don't seem happy with how many stages there are and also the build quality?check the YouTube comments and see what you think.I believe it's going to take almost 3 years to build 😮, The Apache is definitely more space friendly lol! I can't wait to finish R2 and the leopard is nearly there.I'm undecided if I'm going to take the leap with the la Ferrari or wait a few months into this year and see what agora pull out the bag. The email said something about bringing a model that's not got 4 wheels and has a more interesting kind of construction/building technique. Time will tell....

Sorry Phil just seen this post from a few weeks back! Happy New year!! Got the email from 2024 agora this morning!looks like they have loads in the pipeline for this year!a new limited edition Ferrari in blue as well as a road and race version (like others have said I think this is the 250 GTO) The Apache looks great and also very big!I don't think I'll bite on that one. Space is limited for me with so many build at the mo. Glad the batmobile 66 is coming from fanhome!great memories for you so I'm sure will be a fun build and hopefully better than Hachette tumbler!maybe save the terminator and do the batmobile and get your revenge for the tumbler!😄 Cheers Phil🍻

After a quick research I haven't found any of agora models for less than £2000 on ebay. Which is much more than what agora charge...🤔 I would still prefer to buy straight from agora when it comes to their models. Although some of fanhome,deagostini and hatchette come up from time to time ready to build from issue 1 for maybe £900 which would be 300/400 cheaper than buying through them. Also you don't have to wait each month for a delivery. It's good if you have a big chunk of money ready to drop I guess...

Interesting view and agree with your point.you say some models are available for 500-600 less elsewhere could you send some examples for me? Would be interesting to see what models are available for that much of a discount.

Fair point,the price is definitely a factor and keeps a younger audience from subscribing. Maybe a price cut on a subscription for a model that is not moving from the warehouses much?

Hi That's a fair point and makes sense. I think it would be great if they were more divided. For instance your love of pre 1930s vehicles offered by a single company that specialises in that field only. Thoughtful response keramh, thanks for the input 👍

Hey fellow agorians, just been thinking recently about models that would appeal to a slightly younger audience and wondered how much of your customers are in the bracket of under 30? I understand that most people ordering these kits would need disposable income and obviously be over 18 to order.but I was thinking that the models on offer are much pushed towards an older audience. Maybe I'm wrong but I'm not sure they are many 20 somethings who remember the DB5 or shelby Cobra. Or even the Gen 1 optimus prime for instance. Apart from the la ferrari (recent launch) all the cars on offer are before the 21st century If I'm not mistaken. Which leaves terminator (again a mid 80s icon) . Is the agora build up scale model pushed towards a more older audience and not so much the 18-25 year old? If you look at other model companies for instance Fanhome,although they have some older generation models they still have models which appeal to a younger audience eg fast and furious, modern star wars,iron man marvel ect. What's everyone's thoughts on this? Maybe agora should test a build that would appeal to a younger crowd? Any agorians on the forum here who are in their 20s?do you like the models on offer,do they resonate with you or would you prefer something more modern? Maybe I have jumped the gun a bit but just crossed my mind and wondered what others thought about this.

Hi Mark I didn't realise there was a Dino build up from comag.1.2 metres too!Nice shout😀 But the official jurassic park rights to build a t rex from agora would be so much better than the comag. Comag t rex looks a bit meh🫤 I'm sure agora could make it with a strong metal frame and ultra realistic skin.all with the bells and whistles. Imagine controlling the t rex roar and jaw opening with the jurassic park theme coming from the base with built in speaker. I'm glad you would jump on it if it were ever released.

Hi agora I want a full free kit stages 1-12 if this goes into production😁 I think this would be an awesome build. Light up eyes,sounds and maybe smoke and movement from the mouth for the added effect lol. Realistic skin and teeth😃 Moving tail and arms/neck maybe? You heard the idea hear first 🥹

Hey Phil Terminator is a awesome build,but the metal parts are the fingers,toes and feet,his head,shoulder joints and the actual torso frame. His legs,thighs arms,wrists,rib cage,neck are all plastic.so I would say about 50% plastic not too bad to be fair but the middle part of the model (torso,ribcage) feels significantly heavier than the rest of him. I'm tempted on the optimus after seeing so much positive things but as I'm doing E.T soon I think it's the la ferrari for me next😃

I know what you mean,agora have really stepped up with optimus!if only the terminator had as much metal as this! I just know its going to be such a joy when he's done,pure solid metal,large size and just awesome to look at.hes mouth moving up and down when he speaks is really cool too!!

I still wait in hope for the Vader 1:2 scale though.that would be epic!! Ah lucky you! I got 87-90 coming in december with r2d2 so your couple of months in front!I look forward to seeing how you get on once he's fully up and complete. Do you have the app downloaded ready for use?

Hi Mark I think they have a kool looking helicopter coming at some point.not 100%sure it's agoras though. I forgot the name of it but world of wayne visited a scale model show a couple of weeks back and there was one on display. It's pretty much winter now so I'm.thinking maybe it's been delayed. I'm pretty sure the lotus 007 car is the next model to be launched.if not the helicopter🤔

Wow I have just seen the amalgam kits.😲never heard of them until you mentioned in this post.Some of the models are like 20k!!! Good job with the mercedes btw,it's looking like something special so far. With your credentials I'm not surprised that your ability to mod and make agora models even better is probalbly light work for you.keep it up, Awesome stuff Brudda.👍
