  1. I have had a reply from Agora, which I have pasted below. Hope this helps.

Our experts have given us the following information.
Once you fit the steering column and then the steering column cover, they suggest you apply the steering wheel badge. This will then help you identify what is the top spoke, and you can then align the flat end with the column.
    I hope this helps.

    Thank you,
    Customer Service Team

  2. I don't think the ejector seat is a problem, it's more on where you put your fingers when pushing it down. No reply on the steering wheel yet, or if anyone else has the flat sides ending up in the wrong position. If there isn't a response in a couple of days will try the contact us page.

Not sure where I posted about the steering wheel as it doesn't come up on the James Bond DB5 Official Build page, but it has been viewed by a lot of people.

  3. I've noticed that when pushing the ejector seat onto the release mechanism I pushed the seat cushion forward exposing the plastic underneath. This is difficult to return to the correct position with the back of the seat in place, so I have run small bead of super glue along the sides and back to keep it in place.

The other option is to push the sides of the seat down to insert it onto the release mechanism.

  4. The instructions state that the flat side should line up with one of the spokes on the steering for correct center positioning. As you can see from my photo it is on the opposite side, this is the same which ever way you put the rod in. Just need clarification which one is correct.

  5. I also broke the gear stick but managed to drill a small hole and glue it back in, making sure the numbers were the correct way round. Agree this can be attached at a latter time. I am also missing a spoke for the wheel and awaiting a replacement. Interesting that you always get spare screws but nothing else.

    Hi,

It definitely doesn't look right... I haven't received pack 6 (nor pack 5 for that matter) so I can't really verify the fit of the hand brake...

Silly question: Did you firmly press the handle in place before securing it with the PS05 screw? Is the screw tight enough?

Thanks for bringing this up, I will surely pay special attention to this detail!

I did try pushing it down and thinking the screw might pull it down, being plastic I didn't want to over tighten in case the screw just pulls out the plastic. It looks like it is rubbing on the side.

  7. I was also wondering what is happening to pack 2. A good indication of when they are going to post the next pack is when they upload the next set of instructions.

Also noticed that the Routemaster is no longer available to build.

  8. I noticed that on the two photos of the door, the hinge is shown in two different positions. Being the hinge is it supposed to move as mine seems to be stuck in one position and won't move, even loosening the screw makes no different. Looks to be another great quality build, even the supplied screwdriver is good quality.

  9. Just wondering how difficult it would be to produce an RML version. Could you get away with just adding the additional panels in the middle or would you have to create new dies for bigger pieces.

Hopefully they will upload them shortly or I'll have to go on YouTube lol

Got the email saying it's on the way and issue 5 is now available to download. Build the classic Routemaster videos are good to follow but no commentary. World Of Wayne is building the Agora version so you may have to wait until he gets the current pack, this does with commentary.

  11. Hi Towerguy.

I wondered why I wasn't receiving the tracking emails until someone posted that you have to pot-in to receive emails, here is the link https://www.agoramodels.com/opt-in

For missing parts just submit a request, they are helpful at sending out parts. Unfortunately the postal system can slow things down, depending were you are. Request link https://support.agoramodels.com/hc/en-gb/requests/new.

    Hope that helps.

You are lucky 🙂 I'm still waiting for Pack #2, which I was supposed to receive early/mid January. My payment for Pack #3 was debited on January 8 but has not been shipped as yet. I guess the people handling the International shipping are really busy??............you have to wonder.

I think they used a different carrier for pack 2 as mine was delivered by Toll, might explain why there was tracking info on Australia Post. As for pack 3 the Agora website says processing and Australia post have it awaiting international departure since January 14th. Apart from the frustrations of today's postal systems it does look to be a great model, with the relief to carry on construction when the next pack arrives.

  13. Thanks for replying, seems there is a delay from payment being taken to when the packs are dispatched. I don't get any tracking emails (regularly check junk folder) although the first pack did appear in my Australia Post account. I also purchased this as I thought they would be dispatched in Australia.
