  1. Has anybody tried fitting the windscreen on the 917?

I cannot get it to fit properly - see picture.

I have spent a long time and a lot of messing about but it will not fit any better than the picture shows.

  2. I did take a look at the GT and you are quite right, some of the finer detail is lacking.

I would like to think there is something out there between the DeAgostini and the Amalgam version which is just ridiculously priced, fine detail is one thing but £13,995 for a model….. fairly sure there aren’t many of us willing to pay that…..and you don’t even get the honour of building it

  3. Does anybody know if there is a good part works GT40 out there to build, as a preference I would narrow it right down to the ‘66 GT driven by Miles and Co. but I’m not sure if I’m not looking properly or if there isn’t a good one out there to do.

Was just wondering that was all….

  4. Very nice.

I have also just finished my GT500.

However, I am also at Pack 7 of the Porsche 917KH, which in my opinion, is a much better kit, more diecast parts making it stronger in places and a much more technical build, definitely enjoying the Porsche more but that’s taking nothing away from the GT build, just personal preference

  5. I live in the UK and I believe the item ships from the UK, however, I get charged on 28th of the month but it normally takes 10 to 14 days for the item to be shipped, it normally takes 2 days or so once shipped but in my opinion it is too long after payment before the pack is posted.

Last payment was 28th December and I received an email today from Royal Mail stating they had the item and would be with me in 24/48 hours. Quite a quick turnaround this month, it really should be within 48 hours of payment being taken

  6. I’m very surprised an alternative courier wasn’t used, posting something via the very company on strike knowing it wouldn’t move through the system was, in my opinion, a strange thing to do. I appreciate Agora know we want our kits but putting them into a non moving system was never going to be a great solution.

I pay my subscription on 28th too and even living in the UK it’s a good fortnight before I see the item.

I am glad to hear your parcel has started to move, I hope you receive it soon, I checked mine again this morning but the message now states….

    Wednesday 7th December:

The sender has advised they have despatched your item to Royal Mail. More information will be available when we've scanned it into our network. During exceptionally busy periods this may take a little longer than normal.

……so essentially, RM still haven’t even recorded receipt of it 8 days after posting

  7. Firstly, I hope everybody has a great Xmas when it arrives.

I know Royal Mail have timed their strikes to cause disruption but they clearly are making no effort to catch up either.

According to Track&Trace Agora despatched my item to Royal Mail a week ago but the tracking hasn’t changed at all, it still says Royal Mail are waiting to receive it, they must have it but are just doing nothing with it,  I was hoping to have the next pack in time to work on during the week between Christmas and New Year but I suspect there will not be much chance of that.

I really do not see how they think they will get any sympathy from the public causing this much disruption, I just hope they don’t keep losing items, I’ve now been waiting 3 weeks for an item from a different company and they have resent the item but now both have gone missing. I hope they don’t lose any Agora items.

Thank you Agora for trying to get these packs out for Christmas. I wonder if it’s time to try a different courier as Royal Mail are so slow and ineffective.

Nothing I say will make any difference anyway. I am aggravated about waiting over two weeks for a pack I ordered months ago(per subscription) and paid for automatically. It took 5 days to receive a full kit from France from day I ordered it.

I agree with Franknstang, it takes minimum 14 days from payment to even having the pack posted, I also ordered some replacement parts for the GT500 23 days ago and they haven’t been posted yet.

taking 14+ days from payment to posting is a bit much I think and then delivery time on top of that, it’s putting me off buying more, I was seriously thinking of the Miura, Cobra, E-type and possibly the Vette, I’m doing the 917KH on subscription but I bought the GT500 outright, I just can’t see me bothering with any more due to the huge delay between payment and posting.

I live in the UK so it’s not like I’m waiting for international shipping as I believe my order comes from the UK

    This does disappoint me hugely

  9. Morning all

Along with many others I hope to be receiving pack 2 of the Porsche next week, if we are lucky.

I just wondered if anybody knew when we might see pack 2 build instructions appear online, I was hoping it would be this week so I could get them printed off but looks unlikely now, it’s possible they might appear this afternoon.

It may be they don’t come online until the pack is released, as I’m new I’m just not sure how it works yet.

    Thank you for your time

    regards

    Neil

  10. Afternoon all….

I have just received my pack 1 of the 917KH, however when I first looked into the agora models it was the Super Snake which came with a build manual.

Having just opened the parcel from Agora I see there is no build manual, can anyone confirm that the only build manual available is the online copy?

I think the IXO 917 came with a manual but in French, and I just assumed one would come with Agora’s model.

I am new to this so appreciate the help.

    Thank you
