  1. Hello:

Quick question for the experts.  I have always used the Locktite brand as my go-to CA glue.  I had a little trouble with some of the stages of the fire truck.  I am just about to start the Optimus.   I understand that there is a pretty good amount of "glue-ing" involved.  Could anyone recommend a brand of CA glue that has worked well for them?

    thank you very much

  2. Hello:  Just wondered if anyone could help with this.  Does anyone know of a person or company that can change the body color of an existing partwork?  Hypothetically speaking, if someone wished to change the body color of the Fanhome Dodge Challenger from black to possibly....orange.  My painting skills are not nearly at the level to pull that off.  I contacted a powder coating company but they didn't think that they could do it either.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.  BB

  3. I've purchased and built several complete kits and I believe that I like the monthly subscriptions better.  On the full kits, I find that I finish the kits too quickly.  I become obsessed with completing them and do not savor the experience.  For me,  I think that will just do the subscriptions from here forward.  Also, I agree with ThomasJW, if you have enough subs, there is always something to build.  I really love this hobby and hearing from my fellow modelers.

  4. A couple of Fridays ago, I watched a livestream from Hobby Time Modelers.  It was really fun.  It was a group of several guys each assembling their own kit.  Just a group of friends working on their projects and having fun with each other.  Super-welcoming bunch.  A really great example of how great this community is.

  5. I love seeing your workspace.  Mine is only slightly larger.  I use our guestroom closet.  I will tidy things up and submit some photos.   I see from the pictures that you can never have too many Wera screwdrivers. 😉

  6. I feel that Agora is more consistent with their inventory and deliveries.  IXO has been great,  just a little sporadic.  Not like Model-space or Eaglemoss, but a little sporadic nonetheless.  I am only about 25% percent complete on the IXO kit.  A restart will allow me the chance to experiment with some modifications.  Also,  I just really like working with Agora.

  7. I wonder if that is a smart business decision.  A wooden hull seems as if it would scare off many "would-be-customers" (myself included)  I can only imagine myself attempting such a challenging endeavor and be forced to cancel after just a couple of months.  Unfortunately, my meager skills are more in line with the nuts & bolts and not the wood, sandpaper and glue.  I'll leave this one for the pros.

  8. Hello:

I am one of the many who are very excited for the new arrivals.  Can't wait to start on the Jaguar, Fire Truck and Routemaster.

Just curious if anyone has heard what may be coming next from IXO Collections.  I enjoyed their kits almost as much as Agora. 😉

  9. Hello:  Does anyone know if the Jaguar will have the real wire rims or the cheesy plastic ones like eaglemoss did for the DB5?  Although, they are challenging, they look so much better.  I hated doing them at first and then found myself enjoying it in the end.

    Go Chiefs!
