  1. As far as painting the posts, it should be very easy before assembling the windscreen.  This model has no engine sounds, lights all work and all the other electronic stuff, but no engine sound. I also built the Shelby and it's engine sound was pitiful.  Thanks for the compliments on the build.

  2. UPDATE:

Car is now 99% complete, have one wheel to finish, waiting on a spoke that was short changed in the kit, suppose to ship to me next week. Now for my critique of the parts throughout the kit.  I have already built the Limited Edition of the Shelby Cobra so I have something to compare with. Overall paint job sucks, way too much orange peel, lower front end bumper panel is plastic, should be metal, would be nice to have one (1) extra spoke in the packages just like the screws.  Wish the wiring harness didn't have inline splice cables, make the wires the proper length and eliminate the extension plugs. Other than the items mentioned in my last sentence, the kit overall I would give it a "C+" for a grade.  How about getting the act together Agora and step up the quality of the kit.

I bought the full kit and there is no book for the car.........

Got my complete kit two days ago and this is what I have accomplished so far as shown in the photos.

To start with everything arrived safely and packaged well.  Several things I noticed during my build is how small some of the parts were, so out came the medium CA to help things along as far as staying together. I use a very small drop here and there, especially on the tubing. One thing I did wrong was not being sure where the steering shaft was threaded through all the frame rails, had to disassemble portions once I realized I had threaded on the wrong side of the frame rail...

In doing the wheel spokes, I realized very quickly to use medium CA on a toothpick around the rim where the spokes clip to the rim, helps hold the spokes in place while assembling all the spokes.

Check out the photos and if you have any questions for me, ask me, cause I move along quite fast on these builds, this is one thing I really enjoy.

  3. Info for you guys doing your wheels, when you lay the first of spokes in, use a toothpick and medium CA around the hooking area on the rim, lay in the second set of spokes.  This really helps hold everything together and yes, be very, very patient.  Am on my second wheel right now.

  4. Here are some pics of my Bismarck under construction, so far I have no complaints on the quality or packaging.  All of the deck and super structure is just setting in place, so don't knock me it the super structure doesn't appear to be straight. There is a lot of toothpick gluing, very tedious assembly, especially if you have any shaking in your hands, you will get frustrated. I am using 3x cheaters for my eyes, almost need to jump up to 4x or 5x, so far I am doing good with my 3x.

UPDATE:  Added more photos of my progress after taking a week off for an unexpected illness, doing great now so enjoy the photos on my progress.  Lots of detail work and much more to do !!

  5. Today, May 3, 2022, the display stand and book finally showed up via UPS and this time the base was not damaged as like the first one. Packaging was a 1000% better than the first time. The display stand is advertised in a photo as almost being mirror finish as to show off the under carriage of the car, it is a flat black. My opinion, it's acceptable but now I am waiting for the numbered plaque that is mounted to the front of the display base, the numbered license plate and certificate.

This has all taken since October 2021 to finally get a finished product from Agora. I sent Sophie (customer support) an email informing the arrival of the base and book plus also asking where the plaque, license plate and certificate are at. I will update with her answer when I get one.

I will say the book is informative with great photos, wish I had the book while assembling, there is some good detail being shown.

Ok, Agora, let's get the rest of the kit product sent out so I can complete my kit.

The attached photos show the display stand/base, the book with random photos from inside and the last photos is my Shelby with a clear plexiglass cover I had made locally.

  6. I have finished my Cobra, the display base was shipped, received it damaged, purchased the Limited Edition and am suppose to have the display base, certified paperwork and the license plate with 217 on it.

    UPDATE:

Within the past week and half, I have received my replacement display stand, numbered plaque for display stand and numbered license plate with certificate. Officially my car is complete !

  7. I received an email in regards to the Titanic, if I read correctly, I would make the initial payment and then the remaining payments would start billing the end of January but the kit or portions of the kit don't ship until May 2022?  Now you want prepayment and still drag out the shipment of the kit in portions.  Sure wish someone would get their act together when selling these kits, some of us have the capability to pay in full but have to settle for the partial shipments instead of getting the full kit shipped.

And I understand this is a pre-order, but you selling and shipping techniques need to be reassessed !!

Was just informed by Sophie that one pays for Pack 1 and then the remaining packs are billed just before shipping.  Still piece mealing things out which is ridiculous !!!

  8. I will agree with jonnyrotten13, have received my pack 12 and no stand, certificate or plaque.  Have received no emails in regards to these items either and as far as I know I am subscribed. The questions is:  WHEN WILL THE REMAINDER OF THE KIT BE SENT OUT???  This piece mealing of the kit is for the birds, it's fine for someone on a budget but when some has the capability to pay up front for the whole kit there should be not month to month shipping.  I also paid excessive shipping costs by getting these packs once a month instead of combining like I had asked........

  9. Thank you John Hunter.......if they would make mods themselves to the kit with the necessary additional items people have remarked about, they would have an outstanding kit for detail.......will admit this really turned out nice and I enjoyed it. A little leary about doing the Snake after reading all the feedback people have posted.

  10. UPDATE

I had to disassemble the chassis from the body cause I found the #6 and #9 wires were crossed and things didn't work correctly, major pain in the butt because of all the connector plugs on the wiring.  Finally came apart and found the problem, then decide to remove all the short jumpers on the wire cables and with some very careful tucking of the wires and remaining connectors, the chassis just literally dropped into place without any pushing or squeezing of the body and chassis together.  SO, IF YOU ARE VERY CAREFUL, DO WHAT I DID AND YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENS....

I have completed packs 1 through 10 so far, waiting on shipping of pack 11.  Here are some pics of what has been accomplished so far. I originally assembled the engine and tranny, then after some thorough research, I found that the engine is originally black and not Ford blue.  The Ford blue didn't come into play until 1966, which every engine after that was blue. So I painted the engine and reassembled everything. Will have more pics later this weekend showing everything up to pack 10 completed.

Ok, my '65 Cobra is complete.  The kit was fairly decent throughout, could of used some engineering work and detail work on the engine and engine compartment area.  Also the engineers need to relook at the wiring, it is a nightmare trying attached the under carriage to the body with all the wiring.  What is the main reason for the wiring extensions???  This could all be resolved if you would originally make the wiring harnesses longer instead of adding the short extensions and having all the connector plugs to deal with in the tranny/driveshaft tunnel area. Where is the oil dipstick, engine mounts, fuel tubing to the carb???  There is still work to be done on this kit so that all the detail will show, especially for money one pays for the kit.  Let's get with the program developers/engineers, this is a near museum product but you missed it all by a mile !!!

  12. The problem is solved when you install the steering linkage and gear box, plus the tie rod.  This keeps the suspension from over extending.  Have completed all my packs up to pack 10, waiting for pack 11 to ship..
