  1. Hi orange peel refers to the look of the paint where there are small bubbles on the surface. I'll try to include a picture. Fortunately customer service replaced these parts. By the way if you are thinking of doing the Routemaster it is a lot of fun to build but a beast in terms of size and weight when done

  2. Thanks Christopher. Having built many Pocher kits over the years I am used to "tinkering". I always have a metal file, pick, etc. to make sure things fit properly by filing down certain parts and opening holes.

I have built many Agora models (Jaguar, Cobra, Mustang) and they were all flawless. But this one is not.

Now that fit of the front wheels has been improved, in addition to all the other issues mentioned previously, the back end of the model doesn't sit well on the body on one side. I will undo it and see if the fit can be improved.

  3. Thanks to Wayne (The World of Wayne) I was able to significantly improve the fit of the front tires. His suggestion was to add a washer to the assembly. I tried a small metal washer but that did not work. Then in my bin of spare parts from other builds, I found a washer made of soft plastic/rubber and that did the trick.

Can't disagree with you - no end of problems with this model - orange peel paint, bad fit of main body panels, etc

  4. Thanks Mark for the suggestion, but I always use oil whenever I screw into metal.

Could it be that the part of the axle is defective, i.e. the holes were not drilled deep enough? I am saying that because I received another part where there were supposed to be holes in metal and there were no holes at all

  5. Am having trouble with the front wheels of the Miura.

I cannot get a good fit even if the notches correspond to the rim perfectly, once the screw is tight , there is still a lot play.

It almost feel like the I screws' are too long and cannot attach the rim properly.

Any body else have that problem? And what was your solution? Not sure where I could find smaller screws of the same diameter except shorter. Appreciate any feed back

  6. I am at the very end of my build of the Jaguar and am having difficulty with the front bumper assembly. The instructions say "firmly press bumper in place" . However as you will see from the picture, the assembly does fit in place properly. It will not "snap" in place, thus creating a gap underneath and on the sides also.

I have taken it out and tried to put it back in many times and cant get it to fit tightly. Any suggestions on how to fix this - I really don't want to glue it in place. I double checked and cant see any interference anywhere?????

  7. In the final stages of my build and when testing the electronics, I found that the engine noise stays on permanently. I re-checked my connections and everything seems to be fine. Anybody else experienced this? Any ideas on what could have gone wrong? Would appreciate any help in fixing this.

  8. Recently started the Cobra after purchasing the full kit a few months ago. In pack 2, after following instructions on how to install the tire including soaking it in warm water, much to my surprise, the white letters in "good" washed away after installing the tire. See picture.

Anybody else found  the same? I am afraid to do the other ones for fear of the same. I guess I will have to request a replacement2017012618_GoodYearCobra.thumb.jpg.74aa471fb134f5bb354bf6de37608523.jpg

  9. Hi working on a Mercedes 300 SL and I am quite a ways into the build actually at stage 74. All along when screwing screws into metal, I always dipped the screw in oil before tightening it. So far so good except today even after applying oil, a screw snapped with most of it still in the hole.  Any suggestions on how to remove the broken part from the hole?

Gluing the part is not an option as it is a fairly heavy part that needs to be attached. Should I use a drill bit and try to remove it that way?

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks

  10. Just starting to build the Super Snake and encountered a little problem on stage 3 step 2 .

I placed the hinge in the correct position as per the instructions then placed the plastic hinge bracket over it and screw it over the hinge. The instructions says the hinge should move freely but I find it doesn't . Something seems to be obstructing the movement.

Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
