Completed My DB5 Bond Model Today

Box 12 arrived last week and I’m very pleased to say that the model is now finished. 
Overall this has been an enjoyable, time consuming, great build with precise, well engineered parts. 
Everything went together without any issues and all electrics worked first time which was very satisfying. I feel this is due to clear instructions and diagrams. 
My only disappointment is with the machine gun led’s which, although installed correctly, are very faint and don’t flash with the revolving guns.

Congratulations Peter, I too completed mine on Sunday but I can't say I'm 100% pleased with it.

I don't know about the gun LED as my head lights won't push down to allow the guns to come out. The passenger door won't shut fully as the side of the dashboard is fouling it because it doesn't sit fully up. I struggled with it for over an hour trying to adjust it, but gave up and walked away from it before I damaged it.

At the moment it's sitting on the side looking good, but I know the faults are there and maybe this Sunday I'll revisit it.

I'm glad you've received your parts and are finished. I have yet to receive my Pack 12, and am hoping it arrives soon. 

I have had issues with the build and instructions, maybe it's just me. 

This model requires some talent to assemble, and while there are some relatively simple assemblies, others are not as simple. I can't say I agree with the sales slogan; "If you can assemble Lego, you can build this". I am an avid Lego builder, having assembled dozens of sets and as a teen, an avid modeler. I struggled with some of the assemblies with this project and all too often the instructions were/are a bit too vague. I benefitted a great deal being able to read posts on this forum and commiserate with other builders, but the official build was less than helpful.

I am hopeful the final assembly goes well and I don't have any additional problems with it. I am a bit nervous, based on previous assemblies and without being able to test any of the electronics until final assembly, I am hopeful everything works. We'll see as I'm still awaiting delivery. I upgraded my subscription to "Premiere Collector's" early on and am looking forward to receiving the display case and other parts to finish this model.

Well I've finished it. I to was a bit nervous about the electrics. I was impressed with the number plates as they are good but not authentic so it would be nice if agora could allow us to have rotating plates as opposed to electronic. I had a couple of issues with screws when assembling top to bottom and the machine gun / headlight assembly is a bit naff, and what is the point of the mines?.

Not my favourite model and goldfinger should have been offered first!!!!
