Stage 51, Fitting the left door handle and lock mechanism

Start by placing the door handle into position. this is held in place with a PS02 screw from the backside of the door.

Next, fit the door lock bracket into place, and fix it into place with 2 DS06 screws.

Now, slide the spring over the short end of the door latch and then insert it under the door lock bracket. Once the latch is in place, compress the spring with the larger bracket, and fix the bracket into place with 2 DS06 screws. Pay attention to the shape of the bracket here!

Stage 52, Fitting the left door window and hinge

Using the assembly from the previous step, fit the hinge into place, paying attention to the orientation of the hinge. (beveled side down!) Next, place the hinge plate into position and secure it in place with a DS05 screw. Make sure that this screw is tight!

Next, mount the window into position, and secure with 2 more DS05 screws, ensuring that the screws are tight.

Stage 53, Building the left door interior panel

Start by adding the interior trim panel. Place it in position, and fix it down with 2 PS05 screws.

Next, take the door handle and chrome trim piece and press them together. Then place the assembly into position on the door panel. secure it with another PS05 screw.

Lastly, Mount the interior door handle. This has a shaped connection point, so it will fit only one way. Screw it down with a PS09 screw.

Stage 54, Assembling the left door

Start by adding the door interior frame to the previous assembly.

Then snap the interior door panel into place, starting with the lock side of the door. It will click into place.

Stage 55, Preparing the front body

We start with assembling the bonnet support. Slide two parts together and fix with a DS38 screw. make sure that the slide is not too tight! Then mount the assembly to the right side of the body, paying attention to the positioning of the support. There is an indent in the body to accommodate the support that receives the larger end.

Stage 56, Building the brake servo

Start with assembling the master cylinder with the brake fluid reservoir. The reservoir is secured with e PS16 screw.

Next, add the previous assembly to the Brake servo chamber, and fix in place with a PS14 screw, Then add the pressure chamber to the assembly, fixing in place with another PS14 screw.

Now, place the clutch master cylinder into place and screw it down with a PS14 screw.

Lastly, place the entire assembly into position on the shaped tab, and secure it from underneath with yet another PS14 screw.

Stage 57, fitting the dual air intake and washer fluid reservoir

Start by fitting the washer fluid reservoir cap to the fluid tank. secure the cap with a PS02 screw.  Then place the reservoir against the left side of the body work. The tank is shaped to fit the body.

Next, position the air intake ductwork to the body and from the underside, screw in place with 2 DS02 screws. Then fit the intake cover into place, noting the two different sized pins. Press it firmly into place.
