Discontinued products in the future?

Recommended Posts

So I was  wondering will any of the models be discontinued after a certain period? or still be available as long as  agora is in business? And if so will there be any notifications  to members whom  are higher in the advantage club to get offers or chance at them first if they havent done that model?

Good questions. Our plan is to keep the models available permanently, though there maybe future licensing issues that prevent this of course. If we know that any are going to be discontinued then we will give you all plenty of advanced noticed.

Currently none of the models on sale so far have an 'end-date'.

That's good to know, thanks.

In a related question, would Agora consider picking up a license that has already been issued to another company and then expired?  [cough]DB5[cough]

*cough* me too *cough*

I would jump on the DB5 like a shot if it came out!

Mind you, I did get some of the DB5 the last time it was out.  The run that got cancelled part way through. I had cancelled my subscription before the company did, so I didn't get the refund I was told others had.

I'm sad to say that, to me at least, the quality of the paint was shocking.  Bits in the paint (Mainly the underside of the bonnet, the front of the bulletproof shield at the rear), large, visible pools and runs in the lacquer as if the parts had been sprayed, then left on their side for the lacquer to dry.  The contents of the under-seat weapons drawer were basic - but you're not going  to see them much, and as a model maker for fo[cough] five years I can easily do a better paint job on those plastic items.  I had even started to strip the metal bodywork parts in order to re-spray them when I had them all, but realised I was paying over the odds for a model I would end up practically painting all of myself.

Glad to say the paint on my Agora Cobra is immaculate, and have no worries that if they picked up such an iconic car, they would do it justice and AM would have no trouble leaving the property in Agora's hands.

Edit: Just to add, the DB5 and the Barris Batmobile from '66 are two of my "Shut up and take my money!" models.
