Stage 26 gives us the engine room deck and the first thrust block, and a pair of tweezers.

Push the two halves of the thrust block together.  The instructions say that it's a push fit, but I found it a bit loose so I glued it together with superglue.

The thrust block is the component that transfers to thrust from the propeller to the hull, to move the ship through the water.  The engine can't take any great lateral force as this would damage the crank shaft.

This instructions say to glue the two parts of the oil pipes together and then glue them to the thrust block.  However, I found it easier to glue the shorter pipe to the thrust block, then glue the longer pipe in place.

Make sure the pipe is lines up with the thrust block.

Then glue the longer pipe to it and the thrust block.

Add the elbow, again using superglue.

Fit the oil pipes to the other side oft thrust block.

Screw the completed thrust block to the engine room deck.  Make sure you get it the right way round.

This completes the stage and the pack, but I couldn't resist putting the completed engine in place!

It looks good!!
