1950's F1 : Ferrari - Lancia - Vanwall - BRM v16 ...

There's a 1950's Formula 1 racing car in 1/8 scale available from IXO. I really hope other models will follow and I hope it will be one of these:

- Ferrari 246 Dino F1 (World Champion 1958 - Mike Hawthorn)

- Lancia D50 (with the fuel tanks on the sides - so technically advanced)

- Vanwall (Britain's response to Italian supremacy in F1)

- BRM V16 Without a shadow of doubt the most incredible V16 engine ever made! Look it up on Youtube and listen to that unique engine sound, it's just AMAZING!!!!

The several F1 1/20 metal models by Revival of Italian cars raced in the 1950s made a nice collection for me. They are beautiful.

Indeed, they were the best kits available back then and among the first to offer metal wire wheels! But when I compare the Revival F1 246 to the Exoto F1 246, the evolution in model cars and detailing is astonishing.
