The boiling water trick soon gets the front tyre fitted.

The instructions say to fit the wheel the front subframe assembly, but I'm leaving it off for now.

Stage 42 give us the front floor pan.

Nothing to do with this at the moment, other than admire it.

Staged 43 gives us the rear floor panel.

The two floor pan sections are screwed together.

Stage 44 gives us the differential and final drive.

Firstly we fit the bonnet catch.

The brake discs are held in place by the universal joints.  These are then secured with screws.

Now screw the upper half of the diff casing.

Stage 45 gives us the rear subframe and handbrake linkage.

Feed the diff assembly into the subframe and secure it with a couple of screws.

Now push the handbrake linkage into the location hole of the sub frame.

Here's a view of the linkage from the bottom of the sub frame showing the two linkages that are fixed with small screws.

Stage 46 gives us the left suspension.

Assemble the shock absorbers.  These are secured with screws that go down the inside of the cylinder.  The shocks should be free to compress.

The shocks are fitted to the sub frame with the mounting plate, and secured with a couple of screws from the underside.

Assemble the half shaft and universal joint wit a pin.

Fit the half shaft to the joint in the sub frame.  Note that the half shaft is not symmetrical, and should be fitted so that the shaft angles upwards.

Take the wishbone and fit it to the shock absorbers.  Make sure you get it the right way round.

Fit the end to the subframe with a couple of pins.

Fit the hub carrier to the outer end of the wishbone with a long pin.

Finally, add a couple of screws to fix the wishbone securely to the shocks.

Stage 47 gives us the right suspension.

52022115045_f746f7619a_b.jpg

The assembly is a repeat of the left suspension so I won't repeat myself.  The completed assembly will look like this.

52022114905_760db063ba_b.jpg

Stage 48 fits the sub frame to the floor pan.

52021642003_d436001bb6_b.jpg

Firstly we fit the links to the anti-roll bar.

52021645693_0618263943_b.jpg

Fit the links to the radius arms.  These just click in.

52021640518_2560a952fe_b.jpg

Fit the anti-roll bar to the floor pan with a couple of mounting brackets.

52021604571_4681f2e560_b.jpg

Slide the sub frame in place, noting that the universal joint on the prop shaft goes in the hole in the floor pan.

52021853889_708ce4dd8e_b.jpg

Fix the sub frame in place with four screws.

52021852779_5f33075239_b.jpg

The instructions say to insert the pins in the dradius arms into the holes int eh wishbone.  However, I found the they just fell out, so it's easier to leave these until after the next step.

Fit the brace plate to the bottom the sub frame.

52020564257_9fcc5e21b8_b.jpg

Now you can insert the pins of the radius arms into the correct holes in the wishbones, and secure the other ends off the rides arms with the safety straps.

This completes Pack 6.
