Do the A6M 7.7 mm machine guns need to be drilled out so the LED will shine through?

Hi, I have a question that nobody at Agora seems to know the answer to.  Are the barrels to the 7.7mm machine guns mounted in the nose of the A6M to be drilled out with a pin vise?  Mine, and the ones I've  see on video, all appear to be blocked solid.  If that is the case, how does the LED light shine through the gun barrel?  Is it the same with the 20mm guns?

Thanks

I very carefully watched the video for pack 3. It starts out with the assembly of the two 7.7 mm guns mounted to the top front of the cockpit. I'm sure that I was able to see the end of each barrel. It was just a flash but it looked like there is a fiber optic cable in the barrels. That would allow the light to sine through. Can't say for absolute sure but that's what it looked like to me. Watch the video and Wayne turns each barrel for just a fraction of a second. Hope this turns out to be the case. I ordered the first 6 packs so I'll know for sure within a month or so.

Definitely do not use any drill as they are fiber optics and you will damage them. Connect the guns/cannons to the test board LED socket and switch on. Check out my build on YouTube  John's model making....https://www.youtube.com/c/JohnsModelmaking

Hi John, seems you have an entirely different test set that attaches with the battery pack .  Mine comes with a board with lights and an adaption wire.  Also, my guns were solid plastic with no fiber cable.  I drilled a couple on mm to give the gun barrels some depth.

This is what I use to test the LED's and motors and cannons.WIN_20220306_15_53_03_Pro.thumb.jpg.0eb4ff524558756a581c00fb17eb7094.jpg
