  1. It's been awhile, I know. But finally, Pack 9 is up. I'm trying to cut down the video length a bit on these, so there will be more jump cuts in this one as I figure it out. Hope you enjoy! https://youtu.be/uhDpeM2UUYY
  2. So here we are. April 14, 2023. 111 years since the sinking of the grandest ship in the world, that still captures the imagination and draws people to it in a way no other sea disaster ever has, or likely ever will. So what better way to celebrate than by building a model of this amazing ship? Pack 8 for the Titanic build is live! I flirted with the idea of posting it at 11:45PM tonight, but figured it'd be better in the morning. And, yes, it is a long video. But there's a lot to modify on here. And in the end...well, you'll just have to see. https://youtu.be/i4uDIveV-o8
  3. Been awhile, but we've finally got Pack 7 up! More work on the engine room, and then we give it life! It's one of those great issues when all the work you've done comes together at last. Enjoy! https://youtu.be/0SuRBca0j0I
  4. Well, as I wait for Pack 7 to arrive, I decided to share with you a video detailing the various resources I'm using to upgrade my model to make it look as close to the real ship as possible. Now, this is by no means an exhaustive list of all the resources out there on this amazing ship (otherwise this would be a 20+ hour video), but these are just my go to ones that I've found very helpful. I hope it helps you in your build as well. https://youtu.be/zIb6spPDj10
  5. Guess I'm a little behind on posting. My video for Pack 6 is live. Lots of detail work for our port engine and the engine room. VERY fiddly, and not a lot to modify. But it's a very satisfying stage to get through. A big thank you to World of Wayne, who generously allowed me to use his footage when I forgot to record my own. Truly a gentleman and one of a kind. https://youtu.be/9sU-SaWAgDk
  6. It looks like the DB5 will be the first one they launch. Probably because it was already done to completion when it was with Eaglemoss. So all the parts are there. What that makes me wonder: will they set it up as a monthly subscription to start, or will they also offer a full kit right out of the gate? On 12/27/2022 at 10:37 AM, notsram said: I almost hope the DB5 doesn't show up on here. I swore I wouldn't buy anything else from Agora until the Leopard tank mess is sorted out, but the Bond DB5 is the one model above all others (apart from perhaps the original Batmobile) that I really REALLY want to build, and I know I'll struggle to resist it.
  7. It's finally up. Pack 5 of the Titanic build. And let me just say, as long as the video is, the work building the model was even longer. You wouldn't think looking at the parts we get that there was a lot to do, but my God. But the end result is simply incredible. Can't wait for you to see! https://youtu.be/1NtKC-K87kQ
  8. Since, after Pack 5, we're going to be done with the hull for awhile, I figured I'd show off my front of the ship. This will be shown in more detail when I get the video live, but...I hope this wets your whistle for it.
  9. Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm glad to hear some people from here actually watch my videos. Pack 5 is on its way to me, so...stay tuned for that!
  10. Eaglemoss was supposed to start the 60s version before they went under, and I believe Fanhome did a trial of the Tumbler Batmobile. The Keaton one, though, I just think would be cooler from a model standpoint: retractable machine guns, lights, sounds...maybe even the Batmissile effect from Batman Returns.
  11. Hi there! Welcome to the partworks world. I got back into model building thanks to partworks models. I started with the now ill-fated Enterprise-D from Eaglemoss, fell down a rabbit hole by watching World of Wayne, and started with Agora because of their Titanic model. It's a great company. I have nothing but good to say about them so far. And the model is great, especially with the mods I'm actually doing on it. More of that on my channel, though. Glad to have you here!
  12. It sounds like a thing with that Staples, not Agora. They're just being overly cautious. Companies are so sue-happy that other companies are gun shy. I see it all the time with YouTube. My advice? Contact the store and explain to them that it's not copyright infringement as Agora Models makes the instructions free to download and print. And, if you have to, go in and show them that fact.
  13. I actually find they're very responsive. Eaglemoss, I agree, they weren't very responsive to their customers. And now they're bankrupt and getting bought by others. I've had to communicate with Agora a couple of times for replacement parts on my Titanic build, and they've responded quickly, and I've been satisfied with the results. After I complete either Titanic or the one I started from Eaglemoss (I'm hopeful someone will pick it up and finish it [hint Agora]), I plan on doing some of their other models. Got my eye on the Terminator.
  14. Well, it's been...quite a short time, actually, but here it is. Pack 4 of the Titanic build is up, and holy crap. So much detail, and we also start to really get a sense of the size of this thing. And it is going to be HUGE! So come check it out, why don't you?
  15. Thanks so much for the kind words! Hopefully I can do more models down the road. I've got a list of the ones I want to do (which has sadly gotten shorter since Eaglemoss went under). So we will see.
  16. Finally, pack 3 is up on the channel! It's a long video, six stages of modifications. LOTS of modding for the Officer's Quarters, as you'd expect. Plus...there's a couple other surprises. Hope you enjoy! https://youtu.be/gqHRyNZcJXU
  17. Hello there! I'm The Model Gamer, and I guess I should tell you all a bit about myself. I'm 37 years old from the USA. I do video games and models in my spare time (which is very scarce). I also have a YouTube channel, as well as an Odysee channel, where I show off my passions. I started on YT doing gaming content, but got bored with my monthly gaming box. So, to spice things up, I entered the world of partworks models with the Eaglemoss Enterprise D Model. That led me to World of Wayne, who showed other amazing partworks models from other companies. It was his Terminator build that led me to Agora. To be honest, financially, I was going to stick to only one partworks model at a time. But when I saw Agora was starting a 1:200 Titanic, I just had to have it. And so, here I am now. I hope to do many more of these models in the years to come, and share them on my YouTube channel. So check it out. https://www.youtube.com/themodelgamer
  18. Johnny 5 would be SOOOOO awesome. Would it be the original Short Circuit one, or the upgraded one from SC2? Personally, I say original. And as stated above, 1:2 scale all the way.
  19. Agora should get in on some of the Altaya models they have in France. Robocop and the Megazord would do AMAZING in the US. While we're at it, seeing as Titanic is a Hachette model, why not the Disney dollhouse? My wife would sign up for that day one, no question. Also, since they're nowhere to be found, how about the X-Wing and/or Millennium Falcon builds? Those would be great for the stable of models. I'd personally like it if Agora could at least pick up the Enterprise D build from Eaglemoss, but looks as if that ship may have sailed.
  20. I'd rather see the 89 Batmobile. Don't get me wrong: the 60s Batmobile is iconic, but I think the 89 one would be more fun to build.
  21. You're welcome. I'll be honest, if I wasn't already modding mine with the KA set, I'd likely be using your stuff.
  22. Not going to lie, this is a great option for people who might not be as adept at modifications and want a simple solution to get this model looking great. I've looked at this company's mods on other builds, and the quality of their work is most impressive. They definitely make it simpler than the route I'm taking on modifying my model. Good choice for beginners to modifications.
  23. Feels like it's been forever, but Pack 2 is live! More modifications to go into here (I get to use my dremel tool a couple of times here), but I think you won't be disappointed with the results. I also address the Eaglemoss situation in the beginning of my video (which, if you want to skip, you can thanks to chapter markers). So go check out my modified build, and don't forget to subscribe! https://youtu.be/xAxNpZDJyts
  24. Because I personally feel like the music gives a certain ambiance to the build. Plus, in my videos, I do tend to speed up bits where I'm screwing stuff in and not talking at all, and I silence those parts, so the music plays nicely for those. I did take out most of the offending songs, and reposted, but Sony Music is still being stubborn. I'm going to see what I can do later on, once I get a few more issues cleared up first.
