  1. I tried to fit the roof onto the upper deck walls before the metal sides and glazing go on. The idea was to get the seat poles in easily rather than trying to do them with tweezers through an open window. I went to turn the upper deck on its side and the roof flipped over and snapped off five of the screw tabs! Also when assembling the roof frame, I snapped off the upper deck circular mirror of good measure!!
  2. Hi, I am after advice from you professional modelers out there. I love building the Routemaster, as I have been a massive fan of the bus ever since I was a kid. But I have large hands, more suitable for working on the 1:1 Actual Bus! I have broken off a few things during the build. But the worst has to be the tabs used to secure the roof frame to the upper deck body sides (pictured). I have glued them back on. But will they be strong enough to support the roof weight and the metal body sides? I don't want a Routemaster with sagging bodywork, so should I order new body sides to be safe? Thanks, Mark.

    Wrong wheel?!

Would anyone else agree that it looks like I have been sent a front wheel rather than a rear outer wheel. I have finished Pack 2 now, and have 5 wheels. But three are front wheels!
  4. I ordered the Routemaster, My credit card will take a bashing for the next 12 months!
  5. Yes, I am very much looking forward to the Routemaster. It was just too difficult to subscribe and track 130 issues when it was released in the UK a few years ago. There are a few errors, but overall it looks a fantastic model and the sheer size of it makes it the most detailed Routemaster model produced. I will miss the magazines, but I don't know how much of the content was historical information and how much build instructions. I wonder if there will be any differences to the first release. At the moment they look the same.
