  1. Looks Great! I intend to do the same thing with my kit.........paint the engine block black. I'm also going to change out the wiring as it doesn't seem to "lay right" according to pics I have of the 1:1. One HUGE change I want to do when the time comes is change the window regulators. I don't like what I'm seeing so far with how the windows wind up and down. πŸ€”
  2. I'd like to suggest this for a future release. I've seen (and have the kit) of the 1/8 scale '65 Corvette, but I do believe if you want to get the attention of a whole buncha folks, PLEASE do this car............. Of course, it would need to be a fuelie.........working rotating headlights, either the wheel covers or the knock off aluminum wheels as shown here. I do think you couldn't make enough of these! πŸ‘Œ
  3. That's a VERY interesting window regulator mechanism! If there's a lack of material to put on the door sill for the window, you can always go to the craft store and get some similar type felt, cut it to size, and then attach it with an epoxy type glue in a small amount. My only hope is the windows travel to the top of the door posts. In pics I've seen with the windows up, they don't seem to be up "all the way". An uptop would have been nice too, but I can scratchbuild that if need be. BTW, I've done working windows on much smaller models. However, I've used a different setup than what’s showing.
  4. Yes, this past Saturday, I got an email with tracking info for the Jag. πŸ™‚ Looking forward to this one as there's TONS of reference material out there for those of us that want to add some extra detail.
  5. I hadn't received a notice either, but this past early afternoon, there was the package sitting on my doorstep! πŸ™‚ I gotta say that the body is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! Flawless paint and definitely worth waiting for! If you're in the states, don't be surprised if it just shows up. Agora I can best believe is very busy, and they're trying to get these out as fast as they can.
  6. It would be great if Agora offered those wheels and tires as a separate parts pack. There's a bunch of 1/8 scale Jag kits (Monogram) that builders have and those wheels would be a terrific upgrade than the plastic ones on the kit.
  7. Sam, thanks for heads up/good news! I'm so busy with other projects, that I have yet to get started on pack #9 and 10. I'm gonna need to build more shelves! Besides this one, I've got Eaglemoss's Mercedes 300SL, DeAgostini's E-Type Jag, and a VW Beetle convertible I just finished earlier this year. All in 1/8! They can sure suck up a lot of space!
  8. My only critique so far is that I wish there was an uptop for it. IMO, many convertibles look their best with the top up as well as down. I do see that this is a prototype so I can bet there will be many changes between now and when it's ready to roll come September. Either which way, it's REALLY NICE to see this car as it's something very rarely seen on the roads any longer. πŸ‘
  9. I absolutely LOVE THIS CAR! The fact that it's a '61 makes it that much nicer as I'll be 60 in October. I bit the bullet and ordered the Gold Edition that they're offering. It'll be out about the time I'll be done with the Cobra as I'm waiting on Pack 9 which should be here any day now. More than likely, I'll be getting some aftermarket items for it as well as making some of my own items from scratch. I missed out on the DeAgostini Jag coupe.......that one I really wanted, but instead I got their GT40 which is coming along great so far. My only wish is that the convertible had some sort of uptop. Looks like the model will only be in the open version.....maybe an aftermarket resin or 3D printed uptop will be in the works.
