  1. I too am a bit behind in the build. I'm just starting pack 12, but I don't think that should be a reason for not getting the display case anyway. My pack 12 has been declared 'completed' in February 2022 in my orders' status, almost four months ago. I do beleive that those who paid for it in advance should've gotten it already. It would therefore be appropriate to hear from Agora on this matter soon. For the Bismarck display case has been listed 'out of stock' for many weeks now on the site buying page. Sophie has assured me by email that it would be available and shipped from Florida in May. I'm still waiting...
  2. If my researches are correct, the red and yellow flag means (5) 'man overboard ' ! Now, why would one have this one displayed ? The black and white cross with a dot (6) was flown on top of the main mast when the vice admiral was on board. I think the triangular red and white one (7) means 'end of message', and it was hoisted separately. But I have no clue as for what the white and blue one represents.
  4. And what happens to those who, like me, payed it with our subscription when we first ordered the Bismarck model, more than a year ago ? I have not yet received any news that it would be delivered any time soon.
  5. When I opened my newly arrived pack 11, I discovered with great pleasure the book Bismarck, The Legendary Battleship published by Agora and Hachette. Well bound, the book contains 64 pages printed on heavy glossy paper. It's fully ilustrated with well known historical pictures of the battleship, and some more obscure ones showing the ship's building and intricate parts of her superstructures and armament. The accompanying text is full of historical and technical details. Of course, this book can't be compared to the massive content of the 140 magazines that came with each issue of the original Hachette model publication. It's a sort of a condensed version of some of the articles found in those issues. But even as such, it's truly a worthwhile publication and a good introduction on the history of the mighty ship that can stand proudly in a book collection about the Bismarck. It's a good thing that Agora decided to include all the original Hachette magazines in their forthcoming publication of Titanic model.
  6. Don't worry, your package didn't go to Jamaica. But it is in Jamaica, a bourough of Queens NY, going through the International Distribution Center of the USPS. I had the same reaction when my first packages were sent from Florida and went through Jamaica NY. The delivery was very long (I live near Montreal, Canada). Now my packages come directly from the UK, and it's much faster. It takes usually 10 to 15 days from shipping to arrival
  7. More than 10 years ago, was it 15, Hachette did publish a model of the Titanic, but it was the Amati version, in wood. I have it and its been sitting on shelves as it is not an easy build for a beginner. The Bismarck in wood was also available through Hachette a few years after the Titanic. The current Agora / Hachette version of the Bismarck is a totally different model. The idea the Titanic would once more be available, but as a new model, with a metal hull and electric components is a thrilling prospect which I hope will become a reality.
  8. I was advised that my pack 7 was shipped from the UK to Canada where I live on the 10th of September. I know from Canada Post that it was received on the 17th and that it's now passing through customs. It should be delivered some time next week, I expect Tuesday or Wednesday. What I don't understand though is why the building instructions for pack 7 are not yet available for download as I write this ? Patience is a virtue !
  11. This is really sad. I'm not expecting an answer, but does it mean that you might offer the Hachette Spitfire next Autumn ?
  12. I've received two packages of the Bismarck so far, and they went through customs without being charged any import taxes. It took them 10 and 11 days to reach me.
  13. For the portholes, I will use a glue called Micro Kristal Klear which gives the appearance of glass when it has dried..
  14. Some years ago, Hachette published a model of the Tiger tank. It would be nice if, like the Bismarck, Agora could secure the rights and do a reissue.
  15. I would advise not to install the round anchor rings supplied in this stage. New oval shaped ones will be provided in stage 44 as they are more realistic.
